Clear filters Peaceful stay
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We had a lovely relaxing 2 night stay at The View Campsite.
We were welcomed by Cathy who was super friendly and easy to contact throughout our stay. Campsite has fab clean facilities dotted around the field, with loads of spots to choose from to pitch! The site is about 5 minutes drive from the village which has Tesco Express and 2 pubs, and about 30 minutes drive to Bournemouth.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil camping trip to switch off and relax in a private campsite. We were also able to hire a firepit which made for a cosy evening.

Lovely family camping
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Lovely, family-run eco campsite. We booked a medium tent for couple of nights, were greeted at the arrival and explained everything by the very friendly owner.
You can choose your own pitch. Campsite is not expensive, clean and well managed. Dogs are welcomed. I think we liked everything about it.
There was a music night we really enjoyed, nice people around, beautiful views and location about 15 - 20 mins from the seaside.
Huge credit to the owners (Kathy and her daughter) who made this place very special.
We will definitely recommend it!
Wonderful stay at The View
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Can't recommend The View highly enough. A beautiful site with stunning views, plenty of space, a children's play patch, good (basic) facilities, and a really nice crowd. Kate and Cathy couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. The live music and home baked pizzas around the fire pit were a real highlight. Don't hesitate just book! We will definitely be back.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 We would 100% recommend this campsite! It is so much more than just a campsite. The two ladies, Cathy and Kate, are wonderful human beings who care so much about each camping group and obviously love what they do.
The "barn" came alive every evening with a little jam session welcoming anyone and everyone to join if they were up for it; fiddles, guitars, squeeze box and percussion…and home cooked curry. Wow. Wonderful vibe!
The kids loved visiting the sheep, goats and chicken.
Facilities were clean and showers were warm. Owls were hooting at night time.
We'll definitely be back! Thank you both!
Relaxed stay with friendly hosts
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 We had a lovely stay at The View Campsite. Cathy was very welcoming and gave a great orientation at the beginning and recommendations of places to go to locally. We particularly liked The Barn Café, a 2 minute drive away. The firepit was great and we managed to cook on the open fire using a grid kindly provides to us. We would stay again.
Excelled all our expectations
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 I cannot thank Katie and her team for making us feel so at home at the View. The calm and serene environment is ideal for a stress free in touch with nature camping experience. The pizza nights and music evenings at sunset were a beautiful surprise to the stay. Our tepee was set up at arrival even though we got in late at night the staff were on hand to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy going the extra mile.
Our tepee was large , clean and comfortable. Toilets were both convenient and clean. Showers was a nice extra.
Will look forward to booking more stats at the view in Dorset.
Thank you all for making our stay a special one and one we will repeat again and again.

Great hospitality, good location, pitches on gentle slopes
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Great welcome from the owners, everything explained quickly. Facilities were clean - a mix of showers/flushing loos and dry loos.
Location is handy for the coast, good range of pubs/café/supermarkets close by. The pitches tend to be on gentle slopes apart from the ones at the bottom. It wasn't a big problem for us.
The real plus was the impromptu concert around the camp fire with the owner and her local friends. That made it for us.
Peaceful
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 The campsite is beautiful and well maintained, there are ample facilities in place, the setting is idyllic and peaceful. We were treated to two nights of wonderful jams from local musicians at the sites barn, complete with pizza and a campfire. I would highly recommend this site for the atmosphere alone, thank you kindly for a lovely stay.

I cannot recommend more highly. Katy and Jo were so welcoming.
The facilities are spotlessly clean. The views are fantastic. The view campsite seems to attract a lovely group of campers, everyone is very friendly.
You are asked for noise to be stopped at 11pm which everyone adheres to.
Just a lovely place to spend a few days.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 The View Campsite is a lovely place to stay. Kate and Cathy are very welcoming and immediately make you feel at home. The facilities are suitable and clean and the setting is lovely. There is lots of nature to see if you look.
We will be staying again on our next trip down.
