Burnbake Campsite is a relaxed and dog friendly site, with the lure of Studland Beach only four miles away and Corfe Castle even closer - just three miles. There are grass pitches both with and without electric hook ups, all of which are suitable for tents and small touring units, as well as luxury lodges. Fires in fire pits are welcome to achieve that authentic camping vibe.

This campsite had everything we wanted. Not busy, pitches that back onto the forest. BBQ's, camp fires, music. Probably the best showers and toilets I have seen in a camp site that's not overly priced. Shop and café were brilliant. We packed everything away on departure morning but could still have a coffee and a bacon bap. The only reason I scored it down is that all campsites are too pricey now but this one was one of the better ones. The location is really nice and has lovely walks, but just too far away to walk the Jurassic coast without being out from 8am - 8pm. We walked to Knoll beach and really enjoyed it. We will 100% be going back.

A lovely site tucked away in a quiet location that allows fires, is quiet and has well-maintained facilities. Great bar and snack shack. Facilities all modern, only potential improvement is to clean the shower block a little more often but we did visit after several days of rain.

Great family campsite in a really good location. Facilities were good- well-stocked and reasonably-priced little shop with good opening hours, snack shack with great wood-fired pizza, breakfast baps etc. Clean toilets/shower block with warm water & handy port-a-loos, drinking water points all around the camp. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice little touches like fire pits to borrow, ice packs to rent/swap back for frozen ones. Very clean and tidy, and spacious- great for families. There was lots of wildlife and the woods/forests to explore plus Studland, Poole, Sandbanks and Corfe all within an easy drive. We'll be back next year :-)

Lovely open woodland and field site, lots of space and great for walks. Shop, snack bar and reception all well done - friendly, good range on offer. Facilities were clean, though limited - and a long walk from the camping fields as only one toilet/shower block.Take some kind of bug deterrent - we've been bitten a lot!

Lovely, quiet campsite, we were in one of the fields on the outskirts. The main area by the shops looked very crowded. The wash facilities were ok but the showers themselves were not great at all. You got about 10-15 seconds of spray before it cut out, so had to constantly press the button. The floor was dirty every time I went in due to people having to walk across mud to get to the wash block. My partner said there were constant queues for the ladies so the shower facilities could do with an uplift and a proper path laid to the wash block. Staff at the café were friendly and the fresh cooked pizza was good. I had beef brisket on the Friday though and that was so salty that it made me feel ill. Should probably have taken it back but was close to closing time. The campsite shop was well stocked with useful stuff and reasonably priced. More electric hookups in the fields would be welcome in my opinion, as would some better clean water facilities (basically it was just a tap over a wooden pallet). Overall, a really nice place to camp - would definitely recommend and would probably go back again myself.

At peak times we can get queues for our main shower and toilet blocks, we have an outside shower block and new for 2023, additional shower pods at the entrance to the open field to help with this. Fantastic site set in a beautiful little Dorset woodland. The staff are very helpful, the food facilities are good and well priced. The most important thing of all is the toilets/showers are clean and well looked after. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

We camped in the open field on a warm, peaceful summer evening. There's plenty of space in the field so your neighbours are not too close by. The field is large and if you are at the west end of it, you'd be quite a way from the main facilities but there were portaloos in the open field to save a long trip to the loo in the night. There was a lovely cafe on the site and a small shop that seemed well stocked. The site is in a quiet and beautiful location with easy access to many tracks and trails. Only 15 minutes drive from Swanage / Studland.

Great location. Stayed in the main field site under cover of the trees which was a great spot in the heat. The food shack was excellent, camp shop was a little basic though. Having no paved path to the toilet block meant you were always walking in with muddy feet/shoes which made the block look unclean. The facilities were regularly cleaned but with so many school groups it would have been difficult to keep on top of. We have a disabled daughter and could not find dedicated facilities for her so may not return with her, otherwise I would recommend this site very highly.

We are looking at offering a paved path but as a disabled facility, you rightly point out that the tracks around us are very bumpy and we are a rural location which makes this tricky. We have two large family toilets with grab rails and baby change, but we don't currently have a shower room. Thank you, Burnbake Team

Nice spot, plenty of space. Facilities are ok. I only stopped over and didn’t try the cafe, but it looked good for a snack.

Really lovely small campsite, the facilities are very good and very clean. Great location, remote but within easy access of Corfe. The only downside is absolutely no mobile or internet reception, which is good for those who want to be off grid, but not for those with remote working commitments. Will stay here again, the staff were all really pleasant and welcoming.

Good site for access to Studland Bay and Purbeck. Site was clean and staff helpful. Only downside was the council emptying the bins at 6.30 in the morning!
