Great stopover site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 A great place for us for a stopover night. Great facilities, clean, but busy, so didn't stay clean for long! Super friendly campsite hosts.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Great site in an area where there's lots to do nearby.
Tent area, glamping site and motorhome/caravan part are well set out and separate.. Kids have play park, and site has a breakfast to mid morning cafe. Owners live on site and are super helpful and friendly.
Facilities are spotless, they could just do with more of them to make the rating 5 star. Clean, well run site, quiet peaceful area. Guests observe the 11pm "quiet now please" requirement and sleeping therefore not a problem.
We had an almost perfectly flat & level pitch for our caravan & awning, all grass pitches. Good access to electric hook up, fresh water, grey water & waste disposal.
We'd come back!
A beautiful area
Bell Tent - Large Bell Tents Aug 2023 First time glamping, the host was very accommodating when we had forgotten glasses to drink from. He was lovely and friendly. The bell tent was beautiful, as described. The toilets and shower was very clean.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 We stayed for 1 night, wished it was more! The showers, toilets and washing up area are spotlessly clean!
The pitches are good sized and level. Perfect for children too as there's a little play area.

Enjoyed having breakfast (additional cost) in an old air raid shelter.
Phil the owner is a very nice chap, we can't wait to stay again.

Camping Pod - Glamping Pods Aug 2023 Lovely stay for us a family. Kids had a blast. It was clean and everyone was so friendly. Would 100% recommend!
Lovely but noisy
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Great place to stay, facilities seemed very clean and the owner was super friendly and helpful.
Whilst it's a child friendly site and it was school holidays we stayed there, it did feel a little congested, with lots of noise until quite late, which maybe an area away from peoples tents for people to play ball games could be of benefit.
Appreciate that parents could look out for their children more, which is nothing to do with the site itself, but it did get noisy at times. Overall though, we had a great stay and would return.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2023 The owner was lovely, he met us on arrival and explained the site layout, he was there again taking our order at breakfast which was nicely cooked and was on hand when we needed.

Camping Pod - Glamping Pods Jul 2023 Really lovely first time glamping, and at The Pretty Thing.
It's a great location (although we did drive by it to begin with, as signage is only noticeable one side as you drive up to it). Really cute pod. Very clean and cosy looking. 2 toilets and 2 showers in the glamping area to use (tip is to get up early to use them to avoid them getting too gross from other campers!)
Really loved it, definitely will do it again.

1st time caravanning
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2023 It was our 1st time caravanning, so was a bit nervous pulling on to the site, but everyone was so helpful from other caravaners to the host.
I have already booked again as it was the perfect stay, very clean toilets and showers and a superb cafe for breakfast and coffee.
Definitely would recommend.
