Watercress Lodges and Campsite is pretty landscaped campground set on a farm in Ropley, with beautiful views over the Hampshire countryside and a close connection to the Watercress Line steam railway. Surrounded by picturesque villages and the South Downs National Park, it is a stunning location for a camping or glamping trip, with choices between regular pitches, bell tents, or safari tents.

It was just myself and my 8 yr old son staying, as well as it being his first time camping. Absolutely loved it. It was quiet which suited us fine. All the facilities were well-kept and clean. Very happy with the stay. Being next to the Railway meant we could enjoy a day on the line too. Definitely would stay again.

Local to heritage railway and it was good to see the steam train operating. Site was easy to find, clean and had all facilities required. Local to Winchester and Alton. We enjoyed peace and quiet and spent a couple of days chilling.

Lovely little site. Ideally placed for accessing the South Downs and other local attractions. Nice having easy access to the Watercress line, especially as Thomas and friends were preparing for their busy week ahead. As the site is owned by the Watercress line and the toilet facilities are used by their customers, it would be good if a member of the station team could check them out from time to time. The cleaner comes later in the day and does a lovely job, but they get untidy during the day. Overall a lovely simple site.

We needed somewhere to stay en-route to London and booked this place and it was just what we needed, we didn't arrive until around 17:45 but we quickly put up our tent. There was plenty of space and it was flat and grassy. The toilet and shower block was close, clean and quiet. We only stayed a night but wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

We had a lovely couple of nights at this campsite, which is perfectly situated for the watercress line. If you like trains, then it would be hard to find a better location. The site was quiet, clean and pitches were nice and flat. Toilets and showers were fine and the washing up facilities had a handy freezer, which was great given there were no electric hook ups. We'd definitely come again.

We loved our stay in the Safari tents. It was such a special and comfortable stay, with some really lovely touches. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Will definitely be staying at Watercress again!

I booked this as a stopover to attend Goodwood the next day. We were a little late arriving at about 1700 instead of our estimated 1600. They had tried to call my mobile but unfortunately I had missed this but there was a helpful message so we pitched up and left early the next day. Everything was great and certainly saved us from forking out on a hotel or suchlike. I really liked the site and hope to return with the young children in the future. Very tidy and clean around the site. Not something the site can control, sounded like a dog kennels in the nearby valley with loads of dawn barking but we needed to get up anyway.
