Zero faults, well maybe one...

Spotlessly clean, with immaculate washing and toilet facilities. The shop was adequate in as much as it had what we needed but didn't try to sell what we didn't need. I guess that's really a plus. Very friendly and helpful staff. The site had lots of return trade, listening to the other campers made me realise that I had made a good choice. Well, here comes the downfall, the pub was a little over ten minute walk through pleasant woodland so the dogs enjoyed it, there were no tuktuks available or even a donkey for transport so I had to walk, just a private gripe. I would love to say we enjoyed our adventure but it rained all through the night, the wife decided to go for a wee at 03:00hrs and on her return she neglected to zip up the door properly, so by 06:00hrs it was a scene from Titanic. Abandon tent! Women and children after me and the dogs! Not the campsite's fault. Now looking for a small caravan to buy, we have already decided to come back and explore the beauty of Fordingbridge.

Good stay

Good location with a great walk surrounding it, pub within walking distance, park for the kids and horses in the field at the rear.

Excellent site

Excellent site, would highly recommend. Very large pitches, toilet and shower facilities are very clean and modern. I have just one negative and that is you are unable to change the temperature on the showers and the water gets a little too hot very quickly, apart from that I 💯 recommend!

Quiet and relaxing stay

Hill Cottage Farm is a very tidy site, and there is plenty of room between the next pitch. We found it very relaxing and would definitely come back again. The only downside is the shop could be better stocked.

Great site in a lovely location

The site was quiet and in a great location. We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut which was good value for money. The facilities that we used were very clean. Perfect for a first night away with our dog.

Relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night break. Spotlessly clean & a very well kept site. Well stocked shop. Great location with a pub doing great food within walking distance. Husband enjoyed fishing but it's definitely for 'family fishing' as the ponds are fairly small & stocked with mainly small roach. Very relaxing setting. We'd definitely come back!

Excellent

Excellent campsite, very clean, facilities excellent, online check in and check out easily. We were running late on the day to check in, and they were understanding and helpful! Perfect for dogs. Spoke to several people who said they come back regularly here and this was our first camping experience, and we will be back!

Excellent place to stay

We had a fabulous time staying at Hill Cottage Farm, the pitches are a generous size and, being disabled, it was nice to have a family/disabled shower room. All the facilities were spotless & the pitches were mowed when people left. The little shop has everything you need & the staff are friendly... I couldn't recommend enough!

Fantastic

First visit here and definitely won't be the last. The site is immaculate, as are the facilities. We had a fully serviced pitch, which was large, with hedges each side for privacy. The reception also has a small shop for your essentials and easy non-contact check in and out. TV reception wasn't great for us, but we have tablets and board games. Yes you heard right- board games!! Thanks to all the hard working staff who make the park so great.

Hill Cottage Farm Camping and Caravan Cottage

A very clean, quiet site. Pitches were well numbered, so easy to find. The pitches were an excellent size, so no-one on top of each other. The toilet and shower block was very clean and tidy and easy to reach by everyone. This is our second time coming here and already thinking about booking up again next year.

Excellent site

First class campsite of a very high standard. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and an easy walk into the village through woods. Highly recommended.

Lovely site and great central location for exploring

Stumbled on this site when searching for a New Forest site with electric hook up. So glad we found it. Lovely big pitches and facilities were clean and well maintained. Great trips into the forest and local beaches: Sandbanks, Barton on Sea, as well as a short 1hr trip to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. This one's a keeper!

Just what we needed!

We booked on the spur of the moment, arriving only 24 hours after booking. We were looking for a site with plenty of peace and quiet, not too far away from home, with good sized pitches and privacy - and this site certainly delivered! The site is beautifully well kept with larger than average plots & the staff were all lovely and helpful. We had a really lovely couple of nights stay and are checking the diary to see when we can come back for a more lengthy stay already! We did have some people on a close by pitch who were inconsiderate with their noise one night, but I appreciate how tough it is to deal with some people. The only thing I would say was a shame was the dog walk field: I'm sure I read online that it was secure and dogs could go off lead but this was not the case. Thank you everyone!

Lovely site

Each serviced pitch is given privacy by hedging. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Long dog walk with an alternative walk through woods to the pub. There is a self check in/out, so we didn't visit reception once during our visit, although we did see staff around the site mowing etc.

Well worth a visit

The site is very nice and each pitch is very private, showers and toilet blocks are very clean and close to pitches, good dog walking area. However, the site is not very good for disabled people with small mobility scooters - I have one myself and was unable to use it as the road ways and walks are made of gravel and my scooter just sunk into the gravel and got stuck.

Great for the kids

Great place for the kids - the kid park is a bit tired and needs a refurb but our 2 and 4 year olds didn't notice and loved it. Staff were really helpful and friendly and it was good to have the onsite café open.
