We really enjoyed our time here. We found the pitch a good size, it felt nice and private with the hedges in between. The serviced pitch was brilliant, the electric easy to set up and monitor if you actually read the instructions. I didn't, but as soon as I did it was simple and clear. We used the on site Thai restaurant and we had a nice meal and it wasn't expensive. Our one gripe was the showers, they were perfectly functional, but did feel a little cramped and the water doesn't stay on long enough, which was quite annoying. That said it was a minor irritation only. We would definitely recommend staying here, and we would happily return in future. We did attempt the walk to the pub, but ultimately turned back as we found the path overgrown and in the wet a little treacherous. We also found the directions a little unclear, but I am sure once you know the route it would be far easier to navigate. A visual map or markers along the route would be useful. The showers did seem nicer in the main block and this was only a little further to walk. All in all we liked it here and would happily recommend it to family and friends. The site is quiet past 22:00 and we had absolutely no issues or dramas during our stay. Definitely a recommended for families wanting a nice smaller feel site with good facilities and friendly atmosphere.

The site was easy to find, the ANPR worked every time and it was spotless. The site had clearly marked pitches and they were a very generous size. The amenities were of a high standard and always clean. The showers were hot every time. The hut selling coffee and pastries was a welcome bonus, it was very reasonably priced for the convenience. The Thai food from the onsite restaurant was very nice and, again, very reasonable. The walks were well signed and being able to walk the dogs in the wooded area was lovely. A convenient walk to the pub and the shops was great in fine weather. A really peaceful break on a beautiful site, thank you very much.

We had a great stay at Hill Cottage Farm and cant recommend it enough. It is a really lovely site with excellent large pitches and great, very clean facilities. The location is good and easy to find and it is very quiet and peaceful. The dog walk is perfect and a walk through the woods to the pub even better. The lady selling 'real' coffee on site was also real treat. We only stayed the weekend but can't wait to come back again and hopefully stay for longer, as we easily could.

Spacious well kept site with lovely hedges and planting. In the camping field, I do feel that although not a problem for our stay in early July, there were not enough showers for when school holidays. Water for washing dishes lukewarm, had to take a boiled kettle of water. Not ideal carrying this across the field. Two sinks not enough in camping toilets area. There was one morning, two ladies cleaning their teeth and therefore no sink to wash hands when coming out of toilet. Also, only one mirror and one hairdryer in toilets. There were more toilets, sinks and showers in other toilets in the green field, where every caravan would be equipped with its own facilities. The balance seems slightly wrong. Was surprised that no butter/spread available in the site shop Overall, a lovely site that I would recommend just observations above would improve things.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and thank you for your suggestions. We now have butter in the shop, we'd obviously run out when you were here :)

I couldn't fault the site in any way. There was a little mix up with the booking to start with but it was easily sorted. It was a nice peaceful site, the woods around the area for a walk. Villages and towns all within a short drive. Staff friendly, well organised, plenty of space on the pitches. I could not fault it.

Absolutely loved this site, what a little gem, great pitches, plenty of room, very tidy everywhere we went. Great friendly staff, and a fantastic dog walking area around the field, measured on a walking app at 0.75 miles. Takes in small family fishing ponds too. You can also walk through woods to the nearest pub, also great for the dog. Site also has a Thai restaurant and take away on site, very reasonably priced, and popular for takeaway with the campers. Night-time was quiet, seemed very respectful to all other campers. 100% will be use this site again, brilliant site, well done to all involved.

Thank you for your lovely review Amanda. I will pass your compliments on to the team who work hard to keep the site clean and tidy. See you again soon!

This was our very first weekend away in our new Motorhome and we got a really good spot right opposite the coffee cart. It was a very relaxing couple of days and there was a lot of space between us and our neighbours. We are back in September for another visit.

We have stayed here before but with our grandchildren and enjoyed it far more on our own. It is a smallish, well run site and paying for your electric as you use it, really works. The shower and toilet facilities are fabulous and the shop has everything you could think of. The only draw back is nothing to do with the site, but the narrow lanes around it meant cycling was a bit hairy, with motorised vehicles whizzing by you, we enjoy cycling while we're away.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Julie. If you can drive with your bikes about 10 minutes, there are miles and miles of fantastic tracks around the forest that are completely vehicle free and a delight to cycle.

Me and my wife decided to try this site because we wanted a last minute weekend away with our 2 year old, we thought everything about the site was great. Well signposted, all the info you could ever need is sign posted nearly everywhere, the on site Thai restaurant was delicious and worth the money. The shop has pretty much everything for adults and kids. The dog walk trail passed the lakes and fields is great as there is horses and sheep that come up and chat to you. The workers for the stud farm next door were kind enough to let our daughter get closer to the foals. Nearby Fordingbridge and Damerham are lovely days out and also a visit to Rockford Common is a must. Was a really memorable weekend and will try and make it our regular staycation. Only point my wife made was that there were no mirrors in the showers for doing make up etc, but then there is some in the toilets so maybe she should man up 😂

We trialled camping with the kids and chose the New Forest as it was close to home. The site was an absolute gem. Lovely location, staff were super helpful, great pitch with lots of space and all up along the hedge so there was lots of space for the kids to run around and play a game of cricket. The facilities were lovely, warm clean showers and toilets a nice little park area and a Thai restaurant on site. We will definitely be back.

Very clean and well maintained site that has obviously had a lot of thought and investment put into it. The facilities all look new and fresh, the showers, being hot and powerful, were very good. We also had a couple of takeaways from the onsite Thai that were spot on and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Being a technophobe I was a bit irritated when I first made the booking at the number of emails and the setting up process involved, but when we got to the site, I could see the reasoning behind it and how well it worked and forgave all. If we visit the area again I would check availability here first before bothering to search elsewhere. It's a quality site that has everything we want at a reasonable price.

Very well equipped and maintained place. The Thai restaurant and takeaway onsite is great and good value. The hedgerows are lovely and full of birds. I would have also preferred more trees around the actual pitches to make the place more special and to give shade in the summer. Staff are very nice when you meet them. Good for couples mid week and families at the weekend. Electricity is separate but there is an admin fee for any unused, so put under rather than over on initially, it's simple to monitor and top up online. Photo is looking back at the site from the far side of the paddock as you walk into the woods towards the village.

Our first time out in our old bongo was to this lovely gem of a campsite. Beautiful surroundings made it very easy to relax and unwind. Easy check in and well signed, which made it simple to locate our pitch. Very clean and well maintained. Not cramped and had plenty of room. Toilets and showers were clean and a pleasure to use. Good washing up facilities and also a washing machine and tumble dryer to use at a small cost. The on-site shop has a limited stock but has some essentials. The Thai restaurant on site served a great number and variety of Thai dishes at a very affordable price. Lovely tasting food. Overall, we would highly recommend this site.

Great well looked after site with loads of space. Toilets and showers were great, hot water in sinks could have been hotter for shaving. Only down fall was cost of energy. Only boiled a kettle a couple of times a day and ran fridge and tv for 2 hours a day paid nearly £3 a day.

Thank you for an excellent 4 nights. This is a very well run site and the facilities were great, the staff were friendly and accommodating. A dog friendly site - they enjoyed it too! We had a nice Thai takeaway away on Thursday from the on site restaurant, I would highly recommend this site to anyone, thanks again.

We arrived at the park after some difficulty, as the road was closed and the deviation was miles and miles away. Some people had received an email about the road closure but unfortunately, we hadn't, so we spent precious time trying to find a way through. Pitch was perfect, just opposite the toilet block which I had requested. Facilities were excellent. Just one small point - in the family room, which was equipped for disabled use, there was no rail on the wall by the shower, although a stool was supplied. Also, there was no facility to dry your hands after using the toilet. We used the take away facility from the Thai restaurant which was excellent. Staff were polite and friendly.
Lovely campsite.

The campsite is on the Hampshire/Dorset border. So loads of places to go and see nearby, and a short drive to lots of beaches and the New Forest. The campsite is very quiet and the toilet and shower areas were clean and tidy and cleaned regularly. There are only 4 showers available for all in the camping area. We camped during a relatively quiet period so had no issue with availability, but may be an issue during busy times.

Lovely quiet place to stay for access to the New Forest and beaches. Great campsite. The pitches are a good size and although it was very quiet when we stayed, we can't imagine it would ever feel like you were crammed in. The toilets and showers were very clean. Our only issue was the water in the showers went off a little too quickly (within 10 seconds). I get the need to conserve water, but it made washing my daughters hair impossible. This is only a minor niggle/personal preference and the rest of the site and facilities more than make up for it. We were in a campervan and put £2 on the electric, but did not use it all, so we would recommend only putting a £1 at the most to start with. We also went to the Thai Kitchen. The service was a bit slow but the food was fabulous. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and we would recommend.

Nicely located near to the local sites and places of interest and close to shops, if you need to get a few things. It was cheap and easy to book and all automated, so no queueing up anywhere to get in or out. Pitches were massive, so no problem parking next to the tent. The toilet block with showers and washing areas etc were large and clean and the onsite restaurant was nice and the food was nice at a reasonable price. All in all, an excellent site with good facilities, easy to book, well managed and at a good price.
