On the outskirts of the county town, Hertford Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a great base for exploring the local countryside - or you can take the train for a day out in London.
This is a peaceful and spacious site with a total of 245 pitches to suit campers and tourers. Choose between grass and hardstanding pitches, with optional electric. Non-members welcome.

The ultimate in glamping with stylish features, full beds, bunk beds, a sofa and dining facilities. Sleeps up to six (max four adults), but no dogs. They're spacious with plenty of storage and cooking facilities. Outside there's a sheltered deck area.
The town of Hertford - with a museum, good shopping facilities and a variety of places to eat - is less than a mile away, while Hartham Common, just a few minutes' walk from the town centre, offers many recreational facilities.
Hatfield House, Garden and Park, a Jacobean house rich in paintings, furniture and tapestries, and with 1,000 acres of park with woodland trails, also makes for a great day out.
There are a variety of other stately homes and attractions within an easy drive, including Paradise Wildlife Park, Knebworth House and Waltham Abbey - which includes a 12th century church and Art Nouveau Town Hall - or you can take the train into London from Hertford East, which is a 20-minute walk from site.
