Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2022

Great space for families and couples. Easy to find and access. Added bonus of farm animal entertainment and a small food/drink truck for breakfast and dinner. Plenty of showers and toilets, although the site wasn't full. Great location two pubs 5 mins down the road and Canterbury and Whitstable 15 mins away. Would stay again.

Great little campsite on edge of Blean Forest. James is a great welcoming host. Loved their take on fire pits! Thanks so much for such a great escape.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesJun 2022

Great campsite, facilities could do with being a bit better but after speaking to James the owner, he said it's not been up and running too long and he is still making improvements. I would definitely recommend the site and would love to visit again.

Very friendly and welcoming host. Great for kids to run wild. Lots of animals to pet and a safe space for parents to relax.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2022

Perfect location on a farm next to woodlands, within easy reach of Whitstable and Canterbury and some nice local pubs. Make sure you have phone to ring the site owner when you arrive as he stays in the farm next door when not working on site. He gave a friendly welcome and was contactable whenever needed. The site has a small holding with sheep, guinea pigs and chickens which was really wonderful. Plenty of space for pitches and nicely laid out site. The showers and toilets are typical farm outhouse type (bare concrete - remember your flip flops for shower!) which was fine, but I did think the toilets could have been cleaned more frequently. Also by the toilets there is only a cold water tap, which seemed odd as there was a hot water one by the washing up station. The cold water hand washing was the main downfall, as made hand washing in the cold night quite painful! Quite a hygiene overlook considering the site was launched during a pandemic. Other than the taps the site was really lovely and we had a great time.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2022

Lovely, great family break. It's in a fantastic location, the boys loved spending time with the lambs and running free in the meadow and woods (great little swing found). James was a great host, we will definitely be returning.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2022

Lovely setting, good facilities and beautiful surroundings. This is the second time we've stayed at Brook Farm, it's 5 minutes off a main dual carriageway so really convenient to get to but is also very rural. It's a great base for trips to Canterbury or Whitstable or if you want to explore Blean Woods it's right on the doorstep.

Needed somewhere to stay to break up our journey. James, the owner, was really helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough. Looks great place to explore Kent from.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesMay 2022

Brilliant campsite, really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. Dog are allowed for a cost of £5 each, so if you have more than one, this could add up - even they don't use any facilities/water.

Close to Whitstable

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Campervan PitchesMay 2022

Good position close to Whitstable and Canterbury. Showers and toilets were basic but hot. Good sized pitch with hard standing and electric hook up. Would definitely return to this quiet site.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesApr 2022

This was our first ever camping vacation and we are already looking forward to our next. We had a lovely time here. It was a very quiet, peaceful, and secure location, surrounded by nature and two very playful sheep :) The site had everything you would need for this environment and all facilities were kept clean throughout! Very pleased with this trip and would definitely recommend. The host was very easy to contact so thanks to James for the hospitality!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2022

Beautiful farm with big pitches. The owner was onsite when we arrived making pizzas in his pizza oven for the campers, which they have a good selection. The toilet and shower block were big, clean and light and the showers where lovely and hot. We stayed with two dogs and there is a large wood right next to the campsite that has some really good walking routes. As well as all that, it's just a 10 min drive/50 min walk from the sea.

So glad we went

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Campervan PitchesApr 2022

To be honest after reading the reviews other holiday makers had left on this campsite we were a little worried when we turned up on the Friday. We had left booking a site until the last minute and being a bank holiday we were not left with much to choose from, but we are so glad we chose to give this site a go. We were greeted on arrival and told where to park up and set up. The owner allowed us time to set up before giving us a tour or the facilities and we were pleasantly surprised to find electric showers and flushing toilets, something that is not mentioned on this website. The pitches are a good size and the private gardens provided were a nice touch and it also allowed us to have a fire pit in the evenings. Small things such as washing up bowls and washing up liquid being provided in the wash up area were nice touches and the toilets were always clean and well stocked with toilet paper, which again is something that is not always provided at other sites. The site backs on to Blean Woods which gives the opportunity for long walks and the kids loved exploring. We also visited Reculver and Herne Bay which were both less than 20 minutes away. So to sum it up ,we are so glad we came to stay at this lovely little site. At the end of the day you are camping and you would be a fool to expect a 5 star hotel experience, but the facilities are either on par or better than a lot of other sites we have stayed at, and if there have been problems in the past, there was no evidence of them during our stay and the owners had worked hard to eradicate them! We will definitely go back.

Quiet but very basic

Single Axle Caravan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesOct 2021

Site appeared closed when we arrived. Gate was chained but eventually we found we could get it open. Didn't appear to be expecting us. After an exhausting delay at Eurotunnel we were relieved to find this site but wouldn't really recommend it for a winter stay. Long grass and an awkward dip to negotiate between access road and pitch. Particularly difficult in the dark. A very pleasant young man, Terry, did eventually emerge from a house nearby but had not been expecting us. Facilities were as advertised and this would be a good, beautifully situated site with better maintenance. Seemed expensive given its condition. We hadn't booked electricity so can't comment on this.

Our first ever family camping trip went fabulously!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2021

As the title reads, this was our first ever family camping trip. We were nervous before approaching the site, but on entering the site it looked awesome! We set up camp and had a wander around. Met the hosts who were great, friendly and well spoken. We did not know there were showers here so seeing the toilet facilities with showers was a massive relief and made us even more happier and settled. These areas were constantly kept clean, along with the grounds. They serve breakfast and pizzas onsite, which is a bonus. Overall, we all had a lovely time. And we will be back this summer of 2022!

Squalid facilities hiding behind the 'Eco' credentials

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Campervan PitchesAug 2021

There is no reception, just an email on arrival so many campers wander around asking others for directions. The 'Private Garden' is a pathetic, un-mown area of field with 18" saplings spaced round the edges... everyone just wanders across this, especially the hoards of children grabbing handfuls of grass to feed the animals. The 'Eco' toilets absolutely stink and the floor is rotten. The washing up area comprises of 2 sink basins with no worktop or draining area... It does however have a scenic view of the fully exposed 'chemical toilet disposal point' which is a standard toilet full to the brim and overflowing most of the time. Every expense has been spared on the basic showers which have an unusual system to make them work instead of wiring them correctly. This is BY FAR the worst 'campsite' we have ever stayed at in over 20 years of camping. Grotesquely over-priced and masquerading as 'Eco' when it's really just a field with squalid facilities. Just DO NOT DO IT folks.

Lovely spot in the woods. Loads of good walks and Canterbury was close by for me and my boys.

Fantastic - site of my proposal and didn't disappoint!

Glamping Cabin - Meadow LodgeAug 2021

I wanted somewhere that allowed for long walks through the woods, with animals nearby but was warmer and more comfortable than a tent. This site was perfect. When the sky got dark and the wood fire was raging, I got down on one knee and popped the question to my now fiancée!

Fantastic!!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2021

Amazing campsite. Surrounded by nature, beautiful woodland by the campsite, the cutest sheep and other animals on the field too. Loved that there were proper functioning toilets, showers, sinks. Also have the safety and reassurance or being able to park the car right next to the tent. The mobile café was so convenient and had the best home-made pizza over the weekend! Thanks so much, will definitely be returning.
