Surrounded by incredible scenery, soak up the countryside at this camping, caravan and glamping site nestled on the edge of the seaside town of New Romney. This peaceful and well-kept park has several grass pitches and hardstanding pitches with modern facilities - including an equipped shared kitchen and WiFi for all guests to use (should you need it!). Don't fancy bringing in a tent? Enjoy the great country views and sunsets of Romney Meadows from your very own glamping cabin. The Rules

Park rules are there for the safety and enjoyment of everybody and we would like everyone to have a great time with us at Romney Meadows Caravan and Camping Park.

1. Arrival and departure time:

Please arrive between 2 pm and 6.30 pm. We do not accept arrivals after 6.30 pm. Set up must be done before dusk so not to disturb other guests. Departure must be no later than 11 am, a £10 penalty charge for late check-out.

Office hours are between 9:00 am - 12 noon and 2 pm - 5.00 pm.

2. Vehicles:

We only allow vehicles that are being slept in ie motorhomes/ campervans at the pitch. No cars are allowed on the field at all times (only to offload and upload). No vehicles will be allowed on the field after dark. Please park near reception/ parking area and walk to your pitch. No commercial vehicles are allowed. The speed limit throughout the campsite is strictly 5mph for all vehicles.

3. Large groups:

We do not accommodate group bookings. All bookings must be done separately. We do not guarantee pitches together and we only allow a maximum of 3 pitches. If you have friends/ family booking also you must let us know who they are. We do not permit single-sex groups or groups of young adults. We are a quiet peaceful family campsite and do not allow parties of any kind. Quiet time must be observed strictly between 11 pm and 8 am.

4. Day Guests/ Visitors:

Day visitors MUST be pre-registered before their arrival. They will be required to report to reception on arrival (within office opening hours) and must provide full contact details. Cars must be left in the reception car park and given a car tag. We charge £5 for day visitors (per adult) and they must leave before 7.30 pm. Unannounced guests/ visitors will be refused entry. At busy times we will limit the amount of guests on site.

5. Dogs:

A maximum of 2 dogs allowed per pitch. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please remember - not everybody likes dogs. Dogs should not be allowed to interfere with or annoy other visitors. Please clean up after your dog including on the dog walks outside the campsite. When fouling occurs you are expected to bag and dispose of it responsibly; this is in the interest of everyone, especially children. There are dog litter bins on the Park. Dogs may not be taken into the washrooms. Dogs are not to be left unattended such that they cause inconvenience to other park users.

6. Safety of children - IMPORTANT!

No hard leather footballs allowed, only softball games and to be played away from pitches. For the safety of your children playing on the banks surrounding the Campfield is dangerous and we ask that they do not play on them. Please ensure you always know where they are. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the shower room. Playing in the shower/toilet area, laundry room, kitchen cabin, reception/ parking area or in and around the storage unit/ garage is not allowed. We encourage all the children to have fun and enjoy their time at the site but we ask for them to respect other campers and their property.

7. General conduct/ Noise:

Quiet must be observed between 11 pm and 8 am. Due consideration must be given to the quiet enjoyment of the other guests. Amplified music must be at a low reasonable level at all times and not to disturb other campers, music must be switched off at 11 pm. Caravan/ Tent Owners are responsible for the conduct of all users or visitors. Alcoholic drinks may only be consumed in and around the immediate vicinity of your pitch. No drinking is allowed in the communal areas of the Park. Anyone who persistently acts in a manner likely to upset other users of the Park or Park Staff will be asked to leave the Park. We are a family campsite - loud, foul, intimidating language or behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone who is requested to leave the park due to anti-social behaviour, including drunkenness, loutish demeanour, excessive noise, will forfeit the right to a refund of pitch fees paid in advance. Park staff will be the sole arbiters as to what constitutes anti-social behaviour.

Illegal substances/ Drugs will not be tolerated on the campsite. The police will be contacted immediately if you are found to be using them. You will be asked to leave the campsite and no refund will be given.

8. Cleanliness:

Keep all areas clean and tidy after use. Please use the litter bins provided. Keep pitches tidy, surrounding areas and check for litter on departure. Please note: Bins are for normal small household rubbish; please do not put broken and unwanted camping equipment etc in them, please take it home with you. Please help to leave all the facilities and communal areas clean for your fellow campers. Cleaning equipment is available for use after showers for your convenience. A clean site is a happy site for all :)

9. Fire risk:

We only allow BBQs and fire pits that are on legs and off the ground. Disposable BBQs or BBQ's that are under waste height must be put on bricks and slate which can be provided, please ask the team. Please refrain from using disposable BBQs on our park benches. Ground fires are not allowed. Please do not burn the grass. Fireworks and Chinese lanterns are not permitted under any circumstances.

10. Poor conditions:

In the event of poor ground conditions which are out of our control ie the weather, a pitch may not be available or useable. The team will endeavour to offer an alternative solution and advise you in advance should this occur but no responsibility can be accepted if this is not possible.

11. Liability:

Romney Meadows Caravan and Camping Park will not accept any liability of any description for any person or property using the campsite. Visitors are advised to obtain appropriate insurance cover.


The park is conveniently placed just outside New Romney, with the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway within easy reach and bus routes running through the A259 towards Dover and Hastings.

Take a visit to the Romney Marsh Visitor Centre, just a 10-minute drive away, to learn more about the exciting history of the area. Or head to Dungeness beach with its vast expanse of shingle. It is one of the most unique habitats in the country and is, in fact, technically called a desert.

Wildlife enthusiasts should stroll through the nature trail running past the site or spot an abundance of birdlife at the RSPB Dungeness Nature Reserve. Keen anglers are close to the Royal Military Canal for a day of coarse fishing, or why not soak up the scenery at Dungeness Long Lakes.

Wander along the coast or nearby lakes and plan a fun-filled day out at one of the activity and watersports centres, with plenty to offer including an inflatable assault course, water-skiing, go-karting, wakeboarding and much more.

Looking to practice your putt? There's a range of golf courses in the area at Lydd and Littlestone.
