Peaceful rural setting on a rolling hillside field, Fox's Furrow is nestled into the stunning Leicestershire countryside. Back to basics camping with grass tent pitches and gravel campervan and motorhome pitches for tourers. The site has a natural feel and is surrounded by a tree belt which is thriving with local wildlife.

I was pleasantly surprised by the intimacy and peacefulness of this site. The attention to detail is staggering. It reminded me of staying in a good Airbnb, but outdoors. Small details like the night time fairly lights on the entrance lane, the outstanding dishwashing facilities and the powerful full sized showers. Everything is so well designed and thought out. The hosts text you on arrival with the details and are ready to help at any time. I stayed an extra night on impulse as it was so good. I can't recommend it highly enough. The site is on a slope but they provide XL chocks for you to borrow if yours are not sufficient.

Washing up area was excellent. Toilet cubicle small with a minute sink. Self service check in. A board on where to go would have been useful. Overhaul a pleasant site

Lovely little site. Nice shower block but it needs cleaning every day when there are many users. We arrived to them cleaning it on Friday and it was excellent. Hot water at no extra cost, but that was the last time it was cleaned and we left Sunday mid-morning. The owners kept in touch by text and were very helpful, but a warden on-site would have been nice.

Nice little site just off the A47, very quiet and picturesque. Superb facilities and washing up area, plus the best showers I've used in years - a nice rustic, eco feel. Good, clear communications via text/phone from the owners. The site is on a slope, with a gravel track leading to 5 mainly level gravel bays, there are wooden chicks available to use to level up if need be. The gravel needs to be a little more compacted to get better grip, as it took a bit of effort to get up the gravel track, quite steep in places. More use over the summer will no doubt improve traction. Don't let that put you off though, it's a really cracking, individual and well considered site with great walks on the doorstep and a good pub at Houghton on the Hill.

The site was very remote and a 25 minute walk to the nearest pub/shop. Fox's Furrow is a small, compact site with a small shower / toilet area. The facilities were very clean, which is amazing bearing in mind how muddy and wet the site was in general. The hosts were extremely helpful, they pulled our camper out of the mud and helped us find a firmer pitch with some jumbo levelling blocks. The site was very muddy and would benefit from wider gravel pitches and a gravel path to the toilet area. The pitches were also slanted one way or another and we found it difficult to get the camper level.

Great location if wanting to be out of Leicester City Centre and easily accessible by taxi or short walk to Houghton on the Hill for a bus. The site is quiet, clean and the quirky toilet and shower wooden shepherds hut is spot on. Slightly uneven but we were aware of this and more chocks available if needed. The messages for arrival were clear and nothing appeared too much trouble. Great job, keep up the good work. Would highly recommend 👍

Being very new made the facilities exceptional. Best showers and washing up facilities, a great deal of care has been put into this site. The camping pitches were slightly marred by being on a slope, which is not too big of a deal, and the website does make it clear. But I have already recommended it to friends and will return at some stage.

Lovely quiet quirky little site. The shepherds hut toilet and shower facilities worked a treat. Nice hot showers and very clean pitches were a bit lumpy, but worth it for the peace and quiet.

Decided to go camping with the lads and selected this site due to its proximity to Leicester. Campsite is great with plenty of parking. Facilities included were also great with at be least three toilets and two showers.

A convenient, small campsite nicely laid out in a good location. It is on a slope, but luckily our pitch was relatively flat so didn't need chocks. Showers and toilets were good.

First time we have stayed here, lovely quiet site in a beautiful part of Leicestershire. We took our VW Caddy Camper and the van pitches were spot on with electric hook up. The showers and toilets and wash up area were super clean, really powerful shower and funky design. Lots of good walks close by and only 20 minutes to Leicester or near by villages of Houghton, Tilton and Billesdon. This is great find and we will be back fo more peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful nature.

It's a small site which suited us well. We asked for two sites next to each other which we got. Communication was excellent and the washing up area, toilets and showers are combined in a lovely converted shepherd's hut. We planned to walk over the fields to the pub but it was such a nice site, we decided to stay. Recommended!

A lovely campsite. Good facilities, though some of the pitches are on a slope. Close to village facilities and gorgeous countryside. Would definitely go back.
