Stayed for 2 nights with my son while visiting an event at Donington Park Circuit. The hut was comfortable and the wood burning stove was a great asset on a cold April night! The setting and wildlife are fantastic, and the pizzas are really good too. We’ll look to stay here again in the future.

Fabulous location, we used for staying for Party in the Park. Owners really friendly and helpful. Food and Coffee van delicious. We stayed in the Millie bell tent with 2 adults and 3 kids, really spacious and easy! We will definitely return.

A lovely campsite set in beautiful countryside, individual tent pitches divided by long grass for privacy, each with a prepared bonfire site. There is a well-stocked coffee/snack cart and we had freshly made pizzas on the Saturday. It's great for kids as they can run around without getting into any trouble, and there are two lakes for a short walk around.

Fab hut, really nicely kitted out. Maybe a bigger frying pan or saucepan would be good. Lovely peaceful spot to sit out and relax. Coffee cart was great.

2nd time we've been to Purple Badger, a familiar part of the country to me. It combines a slightly wild camp feel with facilities and a beautiful setting. Being able to have a fire is very important to me (look up Firebox Stove!) Great for families and couples, The owners are very helpful and friendly, and provide all manner of little touches to make it a place that enables you to be under cover in extreme rain, provides wood for fire and firelighter (but take a few twigs!), fridge and phone charging facilities, and table football etc. Not the cheapest place, but frankly well worth it. And a good coffee hut for drinks and snacks in the mornings, with a woodfired pizza oven open several times a week.

Simply loved our stay! Excellent for escaping the hustle and bustle and just be! No distractions. Great fun staying in a Shepherd's hut that had everything you need!
