About Three Horseshoes

The Three Horseshoes pub and campsite is run by its hands-on owners Denise and Ian. They offer a friendly welcome amidst a quiet rural setting with fabulous views over the Lincolnshire Wolds. The campsite and glampsite, to the rear of the pub, have an excellent choice of accommodation from a spacious campsite with all season electric pitches and grass pitches suitable for motorhomes, campers and tourers to a range of modern glamping facilities. The camping area enjoys far reaching views with spacious pitches serviced with optional metered 16 amp electric. It's a simple, family run campsite in rural countryside with a relaxed easy going feel. Glamping includes fully furnished lodge pods with their own en-suite shower rooms, kitchenette, sofa and TV as well as pods with washrooms and a shepherd's hut. Two cabin pods have toilet washrooms, beds and kitchenette, a furnished pod with double bed, sofa bed and TV and a micro pod with just a mattress for a cosy stay and new camping pods offer a great value pod experience. The Hully Pods come equipped with a mattress, socket and lights and sleep two comfortably, please bring your own bedding. The main camping and touring field is also home to a bespoke shepherd's hut which is equipped with a double bed and two single beds, heating, lighting and kettle. A well spaced pod garden also has three top of the range and fully furnished en-suite lodge pods with TV, sofabed, and kitchenette. The Three Horseshoes offers something for everyone - from beautiful alfresco hotel level comfort down to the two man tent sized micro pod, a simple and cheap bunk for the night. You can also book several units together for friends and family and catering by the pub is an option. No matter the size of your party, you can order a takeaway pizza from the pub, hire a fire pit and toast some marshmallows and you have yourself a really easy camping break away with your children that they will love. All units are dog friendly, as is the pub. They are equipped for self catering but, being a pub as well, there is a host of good food and beer to be enjoyed when you can't be bothered.

Three Horseshoes is open from 02/02 to 04/10.

A note from the site themselves...

Denise and I sold our house and bought the Three Horseshoes. Over the years we have gradually developed it into the campsite and place it is today. It was a vision we dreamed of. Its a great feeling seeing so many people enjoy what we have created.

If we had to encapsulate the single thing that makes us what we are, it is the easy going feel that both the campsite and pub have. Happily, once discovered we tend to be revisited and there is no better feel than getting to know your customers and knowing your customers love what you do.

We hope to welcome you soon!

Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2022

Great site. Best of both worlds as it is tucked away in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, away from the busy roads, and it has a cracking pub with great food. Excellent.

Louth is a historic and thriving market town 15 minutes to the north and is the principal town within the Lincolnshire Wolds. It features a host of independent retailers not found in every other town, a leisure centre, cinema, museum, tallest spired church in the country and much more to discover.

Horncastle is a bit smaller but closer. Also a market town, and ten minutes to the south. Famed for having more antique centres for its size than anywhere else, it's a rummaging paradise that has some lovely cafes and coffee shops to enjoy.

Lincoln is a must see for its historic city centre. Loads of history including the Magna Carta and a fabulous cathedral, castle and museums await in the historic quarter. The compact city centre and river front offer good shopping and pleasant places to enjoy lunch.

The Lincolnshire Coast has wide open sandy beaches to enjoy on a fine day and kiss-me-quick resorts such as Skegness, Ingoldmells, Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe.

The marsh areas of the coast are a fantastic natural habitat for wildlife lovers to enjoy, including the amazing spectacle of seals coming ashore for breeding at Donna Nook in December - it's an amazing sight to see. There are also some lovely smaller quiet beaches and cafes that are great for dogs too.

Commercial attractions include visiting the counties heritage with the RAF from WW2 to the present day. There are many RAF bases that reside in the area, including the Battle of Britain memorial where you can see one of the last remaining Lancaster bombers alongside Spitfires and modern day military aircraft.

For children, Rand Park Farm is a working farm and excellent child friendly attraction. There are also quirky attractions such as Kinima in the Woods at Woodhall Spa where the small woodland cinema still has a working organ that pops up at the interval! Enjoy a splash in the nearby outside swimming pool to create a great day out.

Lincolnshire's greatest attraction is the endless paths, tracks and lanes offering a quietness that this part of the country enjoys above the bustle of many of the busier summer destinations. Excellent for bikers, cyclists and walkers alike, the site lies at the heart of it so why not try one of the many walking leaflets that cover the Lincolnshire Wolds.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is an area of pretty chalk hills forming the highest land in the east of England, perfect for countryside lovers looking for peace and quiet in an unspoilt and relatively undiscovered corner of the country.
