Merryfield Caravans and Camping is a wonderful place to relax and unwind for those who wish to get away from it all and appreciate some rural tranquillity. With a site of only six electric grass pitches on this adult only site, you can enjoy a stay of peace and quiet. With easy access to the walking trails, cycling routes, Norwich and The Norfolk Broads, you will also be spoilt with plenty to do!

About Merryfield Caravans and Camping
You will find the site nestled in the small Norfolk Parish of Reymerston, halfway between the market towns of Dereham and Wymondham. Welcoming adults only, this is the ideal escape set in 2.5 acres of picturesque countryside. Tents, trailer tents, caravans and campervans are all welcome on one of the site's six 16 amp electric grass pitches, each named after birds you can spot on site. The pitches are large and spacious, and the site also has a supply of ground reinforcing mats so you can camp no matter the weather! The site has a quiet meadow which you can wander through and where you will find quiet places to sit and read, have a picnic or just let the world go by. Or you can venture off site and explore the local walking and cycling routes, or enjoy a day of fishing at one of the many nearby lakes. This is a certificated site with Camping and Caravan Club, therefore guests must be a member. Gas BBQs are welcome year round, solid fuel ones only in the spring and autumn. Campfires are not allowed at your pitch, but in spring and autumn, the Wild Den hideaway has a campfire area that can be used. Unfortunately due to the site's many animals, they cannot allow visitors dogs on site.
Open from 1 May to 30 September
On site facilities include a washing up sink, a drinking water tap, a picnic area and a secluded campfire space known as the Wild Den which can be used in spring and autumn.
The closest food shop is the Co-Op which is a five minute drive. The White Hart and Greenstone are the nearest pubs which are both also just a five minute drive away.

Site rules and policies
The usual Camping and Caravanning Club CS site rules apply.
No under 18's are allowed.
Visitors are welcome but their parking must be accommodated within your pitch area, do not block anyone else in/out.
The site respectfully asks that noise is kept to a minimum to avoid disturbing the relaxation of others. This is a Quiet Site.
The site has quite a menagerie of animals themselves, hence why they are sorry but they can not accommodate any dogs.
The site runs a Green Toilet and Rinse policy, so please arrive with your toilet cassette empty unless you already use Green Chem (non-formaldehyde) in your toilet and rinse system.
The site does keep a supply of Green Chem available for purchase if you need it.
No vehicle movement after 11pm or before 7am.
Payment by card, cash or BACS, no cheques, sorry.
Things to do on site and in the Norwich area
Come to this site to relax and enjoy this beautiful countryside setting.
There are many walks and cycle rides you can take from the site, without needing to get in the car, and wildlife is in abundance in the local area.
Within just a few minutes, the is a large selection of fishing lakes. These include Mill Lake Runhall (5 minutes), Norfolk and Suffolk Fly Fishers' Society(15 minutes) and Rocklands Mere Fishery (15 minutes).
There is also a good selection of golf courses to choose from. Mattishall Golf Club is ten minutes away, as is Mattishall Golf Academy where you can play indoor mini golf and have a go on the golf simulators.
Dereham Windmill (15 minutes) is a charming local attraction. Here you can learn how flour was milled in this 19th century and windmill and enjoy a picnic with picturesque views on one of the benches in the grounds.
There are also many beautiful gardens in the nearby area to visit and enjoy spending a relaxing afternoon exploring. These include The Plantation Garden (25 minutes), Pensthorpe (35 minutes) and Gooderstone Water Gardens and Nature Trail (35 minutes).
