Bell Tent - Bell TentsAug 2022

Beautiful and fabulous hideaway, close to everything that this stunning coastline has to offer, from beaches and castles to local amenities in nearby Alnwick. There was a friendly welcome at the campsite, which was well maintained and clean and bijou so there were no queues to use showers and loos! A lovely location and place to stay.

Fantastic site, really nice showers, toilets etc. Owners could not have done more to make the stay enjoyable. Only 3 miles or so from Newton Beach, also lots of other attractions just a few minutes drive away. Overall an excellent stay.

Fabulous quiet country site

What a wonderful stay we had at this clean, friendly little site. It really has a personal feel and John and Katryna were very helpful and welcoming. The facilities were immaculate with lovely hot, powerful showers in their own separate rooms which have plenty of space along with their own basin and toilet. The WiFi reception is great and the pitches have plenty of space around them. The site is in a perfect, quiet, country location with plenty of dog walks. Although there are lots of other things to do as Alnwick Castle is only a few miles away and the beautiful Northumberland beaches (which are also dog friendly) are only a few miles in the other direction. The lack of light pollution means the night skies are absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back for another visit very soon.

We really had the best time of our lives

Well, where do I begin? I'm an avid camper and love the outdoors. I love being in nature and hearing the birds sing and to pick the odd bramble on my walks along the beautiful coasts of the wonderful Isles we call home. I usually stay away from other people and camp in wilderness but it was the wife's birthday and since she recently had an altercation with the dishwasher (my fault for leaving the door open), I thought what better way to celebrate her birthday than a bit of luxury and stay in a pod. Well... my god, we were absolutely blown away. We had the best welcome by the young lady who runs the site, I believe she owns it... her name was Katherine I believe, and she really did make us feel welcome. We were shown to our luxury pod and couldn't have asked for more. The place was immaculate and the surroundings where serene. We even had a little visit from a small robin that came back each morning as I was having my freshly ground coffee on the front porch. I'd have to say though, I saw the bell tents and I did have a little accommodation envy. I think next time we come we will definitely give one of those a go. They look so quirky and interesting, rather like myself. Reminds me of the time I was out hiking in Nepal, I'm sure we had something very similar in the 80's when I was there last. Doreen found the toilet block fabulous and told all our friends about this little gem when we got home. I must say, I'm looking forward to returning. Good luck with it all, Katherine!
