Lovely, idyllic, laid back campsite! Our kids absolutely loved running through the middle of the stream. Easily accessible from the A1, but you wouldn't know that from the site. Wonderful quirky little cave bar. Loved it! We were already talking about rebooking when we left.

Really happy with our stay at the Old Vicarage. This is basic camping in the countryside, so would not suit every family, but was exactly what we needed. Our kids spent all their time in the river, and that was perfect for them and us. Friendly owners. A couple more toilets, sinks and showers would improve the essential facilities, but what they do have is clean, and we knew what to expect. Have a look on the website and do your research before booking, and if this style of camping appeals to you then you will not be disappointed. Would appeal to families with young children who enjoy paddling and playing in water, and parents who are happy to supervise them doing precisely this! Also appreciated being allowed to have a fire pit by the tent. Thanks again for a great few days - we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Large pitch areas, not marked out and packed in like sardines as some sites are. Owners friendly and helpful. Site clean and well maintained. The kids loved playing in the stream and in the park. Dog friendly too. We will definitely be back. Some nice day's out close by e.g Clumber Park, Rufford Abbey and Wheelgate. A convenience shop also located in the village for essentials, which you can then put in a fridge/freezer on site.

Was brilliant!! The best campsite we have been to. We really wanted to come back for a few weekends after but it was fully booked up - which goes to show just how brilliant it is!
