Hill View Farm offers a bespoke shepherd hut for adults only with a king size bed, the warmth of a toasty wood burner and a lovely BBQ outside, where you can dine al fresco and take in the Aylesbury Vale's sunsets. Walkers will be in heaven with the Cotswolds and Chiltern Hills in easy reach.

About Hill View Farm

Shepherd's Delight is the perfect place to get away from it all. Here at Hill View there is just a single shepherd's hut situated under a hedge in the corner of a field - making it a proper romantic retreat. On arrival at the hut there will be a welcome hamper so there is no need to race off straight away to buy the essentials and the provisions will enable you to make either a light supper or breakfast. The hut has a 12V solar powered system, plus the luxury of a small fridge, twin gas hob, wood burner and BBQ inside. All the linen is provided and there will be kindling and logs for the fire, too, in case you fancy lighting the burner to keep cosy. No need to worry about where to store your bits and pieces - there's a wardrobe and large storage drawers inside. Hill View Farm, as the name would suggest, enjoys wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. These views, along with magnificent sunsets, are yours to enjoy from either inside or outside the hut. The area where the hut is positioned is surrounded by a charming wooden post and rail fence. Depending on the farming calendar there maybe cattle or sheep in the field, which complete the feeling of a proper glamping in the country experience. There is a wealth of wildlife in the surrounding countryside and this includes various species of deer, red kites, buzzards, partridge and hare. Sit quietly, take in the magic of the hills, and you're likely meet one of the animal residents.

Open from 1 March to 31 October

Facilities and amenities

Most facilities are self contained within the hut, where there is cold running water and an eco loo. Outside there is a private shower with hot water, or there is a flushing loo and a shower at the farm, if guests prefer.

If you want to stock up on provisions, the village of Launton has an excellent butcher and deli. In the village of Poundon there is a small village pub which serves excellent food every day, except Tuesday, and in the neighbouring village of Stratton Audley, there is an ice cream parlour and cafe.
