Large Tent - Ensuite Non Electric Grass Tent Pitch (Ash End 7) Jul 2025 We had a really lovely stay at The Real Campsite. Large well drained pitches, all facing a beautiful view of the hills. The dividing hedges made it feel like a private site and little touches like the ensuite loo, water tap & firepit really made it very easy for the kids needing the loo late at night.
The main toilet block was very clean & I never had to queue once.
I will definitely book again.
Beautiful campsite, well organised and relaxing Recommends site
Large Tent - Ensuite Non Electric Grass Tent Pitch (Badger's Holt 6) Jul 2025 Game changer to have fresh water and a clean loo-shed on each pitch. Superb long weekend spent.
Plus neighbouring village of Farringdon is surprisingly interesting and well worth a visit.
Great spot Recommends site
Large Tent - Ensuite Non Electric Grass Tent Pitch (Hare's Hollow 2) Jun 2025 Stayed for a couple of nights over the weekend. Great views and nice sheltered pitches.
Each pitch has it's own flushing toilet and sink which is great. You also get a picnic bench and fire pit.
The views are great and I would definitely stay again.
A real gem of a campsite! Recommends site
Large Tent - Ensuite Non Electric Grass Tent Pitch (Ash End 7) Jun 2025 My recent stay at The Real Campsite was absolutely fantastic, and I can't recommend it enough! If you're looking for a peaceful and picturesque escape, this is the place to go.
One of the first things that struck me was the stunning view. The campsite pitches are thoughtfully laid out on a slight incline, which means every spot offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Waking up to that vista each morning was a real treat.
With only eight or nine pitches in total, the campsite feels wonderfully quiet and uncrowded. During our stay, there was only one other group camping, so it genuinely felt like we had the place almost to ourselves. It’s perfect for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle.
For families, there's a handy play area for kids, which is a great addition. We also loved the convenience of the on-site honesty shop. Being able to grab essentials, and especially those delicious fresh eggs, was a really nice touch.
We had such a lovely time that we'll definitely be booking another stay soon. The Real Campsite truly lives up to its name – it's a real gem!
