A very tranquil and relaxing site, Greendale is just for grown-ups! The landscaped site is open all year round, offering hardstanding pitches with electric. Rutland Water is just six miles away and a lovely heated swimming pool is open onsite in the summer months.
A great place to visit if you enjoy walking, cycling and bird watching. Rutland Water is just 6 miles from Greendale. Here you will find nature reserves (including the breeding Osprey project) water sports, fishing, sailing, bike-hire, refreshments and miles of traffic free paths to cycle or walk. The campsite has previously achieved the David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award as a result of its respect to the environment and encouraging birds and wildlife. At least 80 different species of birds have been spotted at Greendale, so it's a fantastic natural haven. On offer are lovely hardstanding pitches to suit tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. As this is a small site, they can only accept a limited number of larger units. The site has consistently received Visit England's highest rating. The campsite owners live on site and are on hand to give assistance when necessary. Otherwise they will leave you to enjoy the peaceful well maintained environment, and listen to the sounds of nature.
The site is open all year, with a reduced number of pitches in winter.
These pitches have smaller pea gravel on a sandy base, therefore they are suitable for tents.
All pitches are hardstanding with electric. Not all are suitable for large units.
