Campers can pitch on non electric and electric grass pitches, while tourers can choose from a selection of grass, hardstanding, and fully serviced pitches. There is a play area for kids, plus onsite free WiFi and a launderette. Dogs are welcome too!

About the site


Relax in Aberdeen's countryside at this landscaped 15 acre camping and touring site, ten minutes from Huntly, the home of Huntly Castle. It's ideal for families, couples, and solo travellers, with a play area, a launderette, and free WiFi. Days out can be spent fly fishing at the River Deveron, a peaceful five minute stroll away! This quiet site is equipped with 99 pitches, divided into a large camping area, a touring area for families, and an adult only touring section. The camping area offers 30 non electric grass pitches and nine electric pitches, for tents only. While for tourers, there are ten electric grass pitches with a TV hook up, 25 electric hardstanding pitches with an electric hook up and TV hook up, and 15 fully serviced hardstandings featuring electric, individual water, and drainage. Please note that the touring pitches are only suitable for units up to 8.2m. There are also plenty of walks surrounding the site, including the Castle Trail (10 minutes), passing through Dunnydeer Castle, Fyvie Castle Garden and Estate (National Trust for Scotland), and Castle Fraser Garden and Estate (National Trust for Scotland). Dogs are welcome onsite! BBQs are permitted here. Sorry, campfires are prohibited.

Onsite, guests will have access to two equipped toilet blocks with private hot showers as well as family shower cubicles. Separate accessible suites are also in each toilet block. You will find two washing up areas with vegetable preparation areas, a launderette, an outdoor cooking shelter, and a reception. Free WiFi is available throughout the site.

There is a play area located in the family touring area, caravan storage, plus local dog walks that can be reached from the site. Maps and information about the local area can be collected from reception.

For dining out, head over to Huntly, a ten minute walk away, with plenty of eateries, including the The Larder Deli, Deans Bistro and Gift Shop, The Royal Oak, The Merry Kettle Tea Shoppe, and more. There is also a Costcutter and Morrisons Daily in the Huntly town centre.There's also large supermarkets Tesco and Asda within a 20 min walk.

Things to do on site and in the Huntly area

The local town of Huntly is a ten minute walk from the site, with plenty of shops, eateries, Huntly Farmers Market (open the first Saturday of every month), and you can reach Huntly Castle in a five minute walk from here.

Golf Enthusiasts can visit Huntly Golf Club, a 20 minute walk, as well as several more courses within a 30 minute drive from the site.

For scenic riverside walks and fly fishing, head over to the River Deveron, a short five minute stroll away. Fishing permits can be purchased from the town centre.

Tackle the Castle Trail (10 minutes), offering several castles per acre, including Dunnydeer Castle, Fyvie Castle Garden and Estate (National Trust for Scotland), and Castle Fraser Garden and Estate (National Trust for Scotland).

Adventure seekers must explore both the Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre (5 minutes) and the Lochter Activity Centre (30 minutes), where you can engage in several outdoor activities such as go karting, high ropes, and fishing.

There is also Huntly Falconry (5 minutes) for an interactive bird of prey experience, or Speyside Falconry, a 25 minute drive away, both ideal spots for families.
