About Sandend Holidays
This family friendly site is situated in a stunning location on the Aberdeenshire coast looking out over the historic fishing village and sandy bay of Sandend Beach. Peg down your tent on one of the spacious 25 non electric grass pitches, with enough room for up to ten people. Those travelling in a campervan, caravan or motorhome can have the option of non electric or electric grass pitches. There are also static caravans available onsite, sleeping up to six. The perfect site for exploring Scotland with trails leading from the site to many clifftop locations including up to Portsoy, with scenes you may recognise from TV and films such as Netflix's Peaky Blinders! Up to two dogs are welcome for camping and touring pitches but please keep them on leads at all times while onsite. BBQs are allowed for cooking purposes and must be at least 50 cm off the ground. Sorry no fires.
Open from 1 April to 31 October
Onsite facilities include a 24 hour shower and toilet block, a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing. There is also a food prep and dishwashing room and a small campsite shop.
The small town of Cullen is just a five minute drive away and has a Co-op, a couple of bakeries, a fish and chip shop and a local pub, Three Kings Inn.

Check-in for camping and touring is between 2pm and 8pm.
For static caravans check-in is between 3pm and 8pm.
Check out is between 9am and 12pm on day of departure.
Things to do on site and in the Sandend area
Sandend Beach is a great place to take advantage of the sea and join in some of the many water sports on offer. From surfing and paddleboarding to boogy boarding and pier jumping there's plenty to do. There is also a pod of Dolphins known to be in the area so make sure to keep your eyes open!
For those looking to get out and experience Scotland by foot there are many local trails. With cliff walks up to Portsoy and Cullen where you can join the Moray Coast Trail. Why not head to the local RSPB Nature Reserves, including Troup Head and Loch Spynie - both a 40 minute drive away.
Of course, Aberdeenshire is known as Scotland's Castle Country with over 260 castles, ruins and stately homes. Check out the nearby Delgatie Castle (30 minutes), Fybie Castle (45 minutes) or even the remains of Findlater Castle, just a 20 minute walk from the site.
