About Stratheck Holiday Park

Set in a stunning part of Argyll, this is the ideal location for escaping the every day and exploring the countryside. This peaceful site is ideal for families and couples to enjoy a relaxing break, with views of the stunning Loch Eck and the surrounding mountains. If you're looking for luxurious glamping accommodation, this site ticks the box. For groups of up to four, the hot tub forest pods are ideal. Or, if you're looking to go away with a larger group, the treetop view hot tub lodges can sleep up to eight people. The hot tub forest pods are perfect for families and friends. On the upper maisonette level, you will find a luxurious double bedroom, whilst downstairs there is a large comfortable L-shaped sofa that doubles up into a sofa bed at night. Downstairs you will also find a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, kettle and utensils, a dining area, and a large flat-screen TV. With a mixture of twin and double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, the tree top view hot tub lodges are ideal for large families or groups of friends.There is a large open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area which makes for a great space for movie and game nights. Outside is a large wrap-around decking, perfect for al fresco dining or just taking in the stunning views. To make both of the glamping accommodation options even more of a treat, they both come with central heating, quality bed linen and towels, and private parking. You also will have your own private hot tub, the perfect way to enjoy a glass of wine and stargazing! The site does also have luxury cottages and holiday homes on site. Dogs are welcome in the treetop view hot tub lodges. Unfortunately, they are not allowed in the hot tub forest pods.

Facilities and amenities

Site facilities include an outdoor play area, a bar and lounge, a laundrette, a football pitch, a dog exercise area, along with free Wifi across the site. There is also fishing and bike hire available.

Guests can also use facilities, such as the swimming pool, at the partnered park, Hunters Quay which is 15 minutes down the road, for a small additional cost.

The nearest pub to the site is the Coylet Inn which is less than a five minute drive. Dunoon is also 15 minutes away where you can find a Co-op, Morrisons and local stores.

Dogs are welcome in the treetop view hot tub lodges. Unfortunately, they are not allowed in the hot tub forest pods.


This is the perfect destination for those wanting to enjoy the natural beauty of Argyll. There are many walking routes surrounding the site, taking you through mountains and past stunning lochs, an excellent photo opportunity.

Keen fishers can enjoy days fishing at Loch Eck, Dunnon Reservoir, and other nearby lochs. Lock Eck, which is directly next to the site, is full of ding sea trout and salmon. You will just need to purchase a permit which can be brought from Purdies in Danoon (15 minutes).

The area has also become popular for mountain biking, and it is a great way to explore. The site can organise your bike hire so you just need to decide which of the local cycle routes takes your fancy!

Guests also have access to the larger partnered site, Hunters Quay, facilities for a small additional cost. Their facilities include a gym, pool tables, a swimming pool and table tennis.

Benmore Botanic Garden is less than a five minute drive and is a stunning mountainside garden that is great to visit on a sunny afternoon. Journey through the fernery, and rhododendron garden and spot wildlife on your way.
