Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Great location and views, nice pitches for tents and good facilities. Quite a steep slope up to toilets and washroom but not too bad. Would have been nice to have the facility to refreeze cool blocks for cool box, but saw no mention of this so did not bring cool box, this was the only downside.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

We have been here a couple of times and as always great location etc. However, the camping facilities were not at the standard we would have expected, this relates mainly to the ladies and gents shower/toilet blocks, it was as though they were never cleaned during our stay. Only 1 ladies shower working and in the gents, shower one unit needing replaced with a hole in the wall, not the best.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Camping fields not set out, therefore a free for all and you had to leave camping equipment out to reserve your pitch (campervan) if you moved off. Also felt the camping fields were overbooked for the number of facilities. There for 3 days, and someone in the lodges kept repeatedly buzzing a drone over the camping fields, found this very intrusive.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

The location is very good. The layout is also very good. At this time, that is where it stops. We were well advised to boil the water as the water supply was being upgraded. What was wrong with a temporary hook up to the public mains supply during this upgrade? The sediment in the kettle was awful. I have had to flush out all my caravan tanks. Our world is changing, with the word 'respect' old fashioned. There were campers with loud music, wandering about with beer bottles in their hands (one which I found in the ferns to the edge of the grass) quite drunk and they have the inability to talk quietly. The noise they generated was really unacceptable. I never saw a warden once, wandering through the campsite, especially in the evening, just checking that all was well. I have stayed at Gallanachmore many, many times with truly awesome memories. I really do not think I will go back. It is a real shame as, like I said at the start of this review, the location is awesome.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

Absolutely stunning views from the campsite! The location is remote and beautiful. Service given was great. Facilities were clean however there are only 3 female showers so that was not ideal however, it was not too big of a problem. Definitely would recommend!

Roof Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

Lovely location, local dive school, easy walk down to the edge of the Loch, beautiful hills behind and a close ferry to the island opposite! The facilities are fine, a bit damp due to all of the rain for the last 48 hours and need to be careful with grass pitches as starting to get soft but really could not fault my time there! Just up the hill from a ferry to isle of Kerrera for an incredible day of walking! A really lovely hour walk into Oban with great recommendations on places to eat (their recommendation for the green fish but was fantastic! Really fresh scallops straight from the water cooked in a Delish garlic butter!!!!) a fantastic base for exploring the local area!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

Beautiful scenery looking out, but I am guessing the site is still a work in progress, with statics going up as ground works taking place on site. It's an old tired site and for that reason, I didn't find it good value for money. It was a basic stop over.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

All fine, site is having extensive work to make it bigger, please don't forget about the parts already there. Peaceful camping, but at times, the hot tub brigade are a bit noisy!

Disappointing

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

The best things about the site were the lovely views and friendly reception staff. The rest is poor. Site layout for tourers was chaotic. No marked spaces, vans and tents too close together. Facilities were the the worst we've experienced in our travels round Scotland. Showers are a health and safety nightmare, the temperature gauge didn't work and I alternated between freezing and boiling my skin off. The shower head kept falling off the wall as well. Toilets dirty and not cleaned. While we were there, a guy turned up in his cart and spent a maximum of 2 mins, not sure what he did? My husband didn't even attempt a shower in the men's block as it was too dirty. No hot water for washing up either. Ambiance, first impression was a building site, not somewhere I wanted to stay and access is poor. Finally, no drinking water - I don't expect to pay the high price you charged for one night for such a poor site and be told must boil the water.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Great location, only 10 mins drive from Oban. Difficult to find a flat pitch in the tent and campervan field. Only one shower in the lower block, but facilities were very clean and there was another toilet/shower block further up the park. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Me and my partner camped for 3 nights and it was amazing. Lovely walks around the park and down to the sea front and when the sunset comes on a lovely sunny day it is really beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely recommend and will be booking again in the future.

Beautiful, peaceful campsite.

Lovely clean campsite. Excellent toilets and showers which were regularly cleaned. Stone base provided for BBQ. Fabulous walk up the hill for spectacular views over loch and islands. Very quiet. Quite busy so arrive early to get the best spots. Dog friendly.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Nice clean campsite with lovely views. If there had been more campers there would not have been enough toilets and showers. The kitchen was a useful extra but no water for kettle and hob wasn't working.

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

We stayed here for one night before getting the ferry to Mull. We arrived a little later than expected but found an envelope on the door with details of where we could park the motorhome. The site is really pretty although a lot of building work going on. Lovely views and really quiet. However, the toilet block in the women's was okay, although had run out of toilet roll. The men's was another story and there seemed to be back flooding from the toilets and therefore a lot of mess on the floor.

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesNov 2024

The park was fine as long as you don't want to do anything apart from chilling out. It's too far to walk in to Oban and we felt it was a bit of a free for all when parking your motorhome, as there were no individual hard standing pitches and the grass was extremely wet.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesNov 2024

A lovely, peaceful and tranquil site with great views. The toilet facilities were clean and cosy. It was easy to walk into Oban in just under an hour. The staff were friendly and helpful. The road to the site is single track with lots of passing places. I would recommend the site.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesOct 2024

A single track road to the site, would have been scary in a bigger van. There were a lot of parked cars and I couldn't see many pull in spots. The toilets were quite a way from pitch. Some of the grass areas looked as if a few vans had got stuck/ ruts. Not a big area of hard standing, this was where quite a few vans (and mine) had huddled as it was a very windy night! There were Highland cows behind the site. It was handy for the ferry at 7 am, the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.

It was a nice site, what I didn't like was the road into the place. The facilities were clean and tidy.
