About the site


The site is an ideal family friendly base for exploring the west coast of Scotland. With Bracken Bay just a five minute walk from the site and Ayr Town and the beach just a ten minute drive from the site, there is something for everyone! There are 5m x 6m fully serviced grass touring pitches with a picnic bench and 10 amp electric hook ups, suitable for campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans. There are two sizes of fully serviced hardstanding pitches, 6m x 7m, which are suitable for campervans and motorhomes, and 6m x 8m, that best suited for campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans. They both have 10 amp electric hookups. All pitches include WiFi and a chemical disposal points. The site offers glamping pods with double beds and a twin bed, sleeping up to four. There is a fully equipped kitchen and living area, as well as a private mezzanine with an outdoor seat and a hot tub. Bedding is provided, and pets are welcome to join you with one per pod. There are also static caravans available onsite that sleep between four to six people. Some have sea views and have hot tubs. Being so near the coast, five minute walk, there are many walks and hikes that surround the site. Including the Ayrshire Coastal Path Six: Dunure to Ayr, which cuts between the site and Bracken Bay. Dogs are welcome to join you on your stay with up to two per touring pitch and one per pod. Only specific static caravans are pet friendly. Open fires and BBQs are not permitted onsite.

The site facilities included a toilet and shower block attached to the reception. In the facilities block, you will find underfloor heating, hair dryers and baby changing facilities. There is a washing up area available and onsite laundry room with commercial sized washers and dryers.

There is a children's play area onsite and close by to the touring pitches, and free WiFi is available onsite to keep you connected.

Guests will be able to get the essentials from the inside shop located in the reception, open 9am to 7pm daily. The Anchorage Restaurant/Bar is a five minute drive from the site and serves local food and drinks every day.

*Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

*Please note that the chemical disposal point only accepts green organic toilet fluid, which can be purchased from the holiday park shop if needed.


Things to do on site and in the Ayr area

Bracken Bay is just a five minute walk from the site, where you can enjoy the scenic views of the Scottish coast with the comforts of the site nearby.

Just a 20 minute walk from the site is Heads Of Ayr Farm Park, with a range of animals including alpacas, horses, donkeys, goats, and llamas. They also have quad bikes, sandpits, an indoor play barn and three different food outlets to choose from.

The town of Ayr is just a ten minute drive away from the site where you will find the sandy Ayr Beach, where you can enjoy making sand castles, some crazy golf and a children's play area. Or stop by Pirate Pete's Family Entertainment Centre where you will find soft play, more crazy golf, laser tag and more!

If you're looking to take on a challenge, why not try the Ayrshire Coastal Path Six: Dunure to Ayr? A 15km route that follows the coastline from Dunure Castle (10 minutes) to the mouth of the River Ayr (10 minutes) in the city.

The route takes approximately three hours and is rated hard, but it has some of the scenic coastal views and is a great way to explore the area. The route also runs right behind the site at approximately the halfway point, so you can go in either direction.
