Relaxing break

Lovely campsite but for having 12 pitches and 3 pods - I felt 3 toilet/showers just isn't enough for the size of campsite.

Thanks for your review Emma. Sorry you felt there weren't enough showers or toilets. I assume you also found the other two toilets in the green block - there are actually five in total.

Nice campsite

First time camping in years and a great start to revitalise getting out and about again. The campsite is immaculate, very well maintained and Pam gave a great introduction to the site and facilities. Plenty of space was given for our pitch and the toilets/showers were very clean. Hope to return soon.

Great little site

Great little site set in a small country park and close to the beach. The town of Leven is only 5 mins in the car or a 20 minute walk away, where there are lots of facilities.

Lovely little gem of a campsite

Arrived for 2 days whilst visiting St Andrews for The Open. Staff were very friendly on arrival. Location is fantastic with brilliant views over the golf courses and the coast. Facilities were spot on, very clean with additional cleaning materials and even sanitary items. Will 100% be visiting again on a golfing trip and recommending it to family and friends.

A beautiful peaceful setting

We stayed here as part of our visit to the Open at St Andrews. The site is stunning, the staff friendly and the facilities and location excellent. We will definitely return and explore more of the area.

Family camping trip

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The site was nice and peaceful, but close enough to town for food or shops.

Camping with 12 year old and 6 year old

Lovely campsite and great location. 5 minute walk to beach. Toilets clean, good pressure and temperature on water for showers. Kids loved the walled garden and looking for all the rabbits and squirrels. We didn't visit the window café, but hot drinks were reasonably priced.

Scottish motorcycle tour 2022

Great campsite, very clean & well maintained. Only slight downside for us was that you can't park your vehicles near pitch. So not good for when on motorcycles - security/ not able to charge things/ having to lug stuff about. Other than that really good, with very nice staff. Will use again, thank you!

Hi John, thanks for your positive review. Yes, we took the decision not to allow vehicle access and keep it a really safe space for families. However, following feedback, we have now made some wheelbarrows available to assist guests in transporting camping gear around the site - so far people seem to be appreciating those, so hopefully that will help!

A fine walk and camp

A fantastic wee camp site, amazing location at Lower Largo, great beach and the walled garden is truly fantastic. Would highly recommend it. Great for kids and adults alike ,good base for our visit to all the villages and towns along the Fife coast.

1st time campers

First time camping & the facilities & staff were amazing!! Although we had to make an early departure, we had fun & will be back to try out the eco pods. Everything was on our door step & the other campers were friendly! x

First class site

Developing campsite with great ethos

We loved what this organisation is trying to do at Silverburn, which is in a fabulous location. However, recent rain meant it was rather muddy. The other problem was the lack of hot water in the showers. The individual bathrooms are a great idea though. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Hi Norman, thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall, but we absolutely hear you on the muddiness of the campervan area. We actually closed the site down for a few days in the last couple of weeks and have resurfaced the problem areas with reinforced geogrid textile and new turf, so that issue should now be resolved. Sorry to hear of your issue with the showers - we haven't had any other reports of hot water problems but we will keep a close eye on this. We'll look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Loved it!

First time staying and can't wait to go back. Great location, two seconds from the beach and amazing nature trails. Couldn't fault it :)

Glamping pod

I have travelled and stayed at numerous locations across England and I can genuinely say that, pound for pound, this was one of the best ever!!! Great location, staff are ultra friendly, the shower room & toilet block were immaculate and cleaned regularly. The pods were amazing and highly recommended.

Happy camper

Had a great stay, couldn't do enough for us. Even when weather turned bad with storm Arwen, they contacted us and stayed in contact to make sure we were safe. Highly delighted with staff and will definitely be back to stay there.

Great campsite in lovely location

Stayed here for one night at the start of November. I was the only tent there, probably due to the freezing weather. It is only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Leven, and the views over the golf course to the sea are fantastic. Nice wee shared firepit to use which I utilised. The toilet and showers were impeccably clean and the wee glamping pods look fantastic. I look forward to returning in the new year.

Highly Recommend

I loved it here, perfect location, well laid out and the staff were lovely. Loved the little cafe with very pleasant ladies. My only criticism is I would have liked a toilet/shower block at our side where camper vans were. Hopefully this will be added in the future as I will certainly be back!!!

Well laid out pitches

Everything is new as it's their first year, good pitches with water and waste close by. The toilets were a fair walk away but next to the tent field. The showers were very clean and modern and a nice touch to have small toiletries. Lovely walks through the park and beach. A nice site, very friendly. Would have liked to see bigger pitches for larger motorhomes as we travel with our friends and they have a bigger motorhome than us, but they don't seem to have the space currently.

We are looking at installing a mini shower and toilet block in the campervan area so this may be available in the future which would reduce the short walk to the existing block. Just for your information, we have now extended our campervan pitches and can now host vehicles of up to 8.5m, so hopefully your friends can come and visit us sometime as well. We'll look forward to seeing you again sometime!

Pleasant

Comfortable and compact, just a small area for motorhomes. An interesting spot, close to the beach.

Brilliant campsite.

The campsite was well maintained and the facilities were clean and in good working order. Staff were great and always there for help if needed. Loved the Walled Garden and the woods, great for dog walking and the beach was only 5 mins walk passed the golf course. I would highly recommend for a nice and peaceful holiday.
