The site itself is unique in that it's in a neighbourhood! The plots are nothing special, but the facilities are clean and warm, with great showers. It's a good location being near Glasgow but avoiding its busyness. Our stay was quiet and pleasant, and the owners gave clear directions for our late check-in.

Red Deer is a beautiful park close to Glasgow city centre. Stepps train station is 10 minutes walk away and there are local amenities nearby. The caravan and motorhome pitches are located towards the back of the site, which is also home to beautifully maintained residential homes. Facilities are clean and the site is very quiet and peaceful. Information is shared by email outside business hours and key code to the locked gate is also available to those arriving later in the day.

Two touring camp areas within a beautifully tended static holiday park. The individual hard standing pitches are huge and the area where we pitched had lots of grass around for a toddler to run about in safety, as there was no passing traffic. Toilet blocks were spotless. There's a good Co-op supermarket about a mile away. The approach is via a housing estate with lots of bends, so must, obviously, be taken slowly. This site is absolutely ideal as a base for visiting anywhere in Central Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Falkirk are all within easy reach. The site is adjacent to adjacent to the huge Seven Lochs Wetland Park with walking and cycling paths, and The Crannog, an exciting adventure play area for children is about 5 miles away on the shore of the Lochend Loch.

We booked last minute and were very lucky to still get a space. It has a convenient location close to a train station and a small shop and looked really lovely.

Nice, clean well run site. Great location for a visit to Glasgow. By train, its 5 minutes walk to the station with trains running every half hour and only 15 minutes to centre. Bit of a shock when arriving and driving through a housing estate but nice and quiet friendly site. Not the cheapest but was a bank holiday weekend.

Thank you for your review. We are in a residential area, but within easy commute of the centre and easy access to 2 nearby lochs. Our prices are due to our prime easy access to Glasgow location, and being the only holiday park as close to the area, but we can certainly look into these to see what we can do!

Only stayed for 1 night but will definitely use this campsite again for future visits to Glasgow. Small campsite and very well maintained, the bathroom facilities were clean and well ventilated.
