Just a short walk from Portree and handy for all the Isle of Skye's attractions, Portree Campsite is a great base on the east side of the isle. There are both grass and hardstandings, plus electric and well kept facilities to keep you comfy. It's just a short ride north to the remotest parts of the isle and the start of more adventures on Lewis and Harris.
About Portree Campsite
Set over 3 acres of land, the site has 80 pitches which include both grass and hardstanding options - with electric also available. Caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome and the site is well maintained with organised pitches. You'll be in walking distance of Portree itself with access to excellent amenities.
Open from 1 March to 31 October
Site facilities include two toilet blocks, free showers, plus shaver points and hair dryers. There is also a well equipped laundry with sinks, washing machine and tumble dryer. You'll find a freezer for freezer blocks and Wi-Fi is available on all pitches for a modest fee.

Site rules and policies
Pitches must be vacated by 11.30am on day of departure.
All campers are asked to keep noise to a minimum after 11pm.

This is one part of the UK where the island, and its own stunning landscape take centre stage. There's lashings of great walks and hikes, with views to beat any other.
Climbing the Old Man of Storr is a rite of passage for any traveller, and afterwards you can reward yourself with a dip in the island's shimmering fairy pools.
In fact, Skye has all the outdoor adventures you could want for, from kayaking to boating and climbing. And on days when you fancy something more tranquil, roam the romance of Dunvegan Castle or take a dip at Coral Beach.
