Just opposite the beach, Kilbride Campsite is a rural site with a tasty cafe that makes a great stopover. It's in the ideal spot for walks on the Hebridean Way or as part of a tour of the islands, tucked by the coastline of the the Isle of South Uist.
About the site
On the southern end of the isle, this site has views worth travelling for across a secluded bay with white shell-sand beach and along the unspoilt Sound of Barra. The pitches are in keeping with the natural landscape and spacious, including one double-sized pitch. For tourers, it's a hardstanding spot with electric, each at least 15m apart and staggered - which allows everyone to get the best of the glorious views. If you bring a tent, you'll pitch up on grassed area with space to park your car and access to electric.
