Woodbatch Camping and Glamping is a small, family run site nestled in the Shropshire Hills, for tents and small campervans or stay in a glamping pod for two. A mile and a half from the market town of Bishop's Castle and conveniently placed for walks along Offa's Dyke and Long Mynd. Sit back and enjoy the scenery with fire bowls and picnic tables available at every pitch also start the mornings off right with a takeaway farmer's breakfast!

Stayed in the pod Friday and Saturday. Was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the site in general. The views are absolutely beautiful and we had some lovely walks and lunch in Bishops Castle (25 minute walk from the site). The pod was well equipped with what I would call "over and above" things like fridge and tv. The farm had even given us some fresh milk and eggs which was a lovely touch. Few improvements that could be made in the toilet block but minor. Things I noticed were shower curtains could do with being replaced - they were clean, just the pattern on them was partially rubbed off so they looked like could do with replacing - and some of the taps in the kitchen ran very weak. But all minor things easily sorted.

Fresh milk & eggs etc. We do pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our facilities. Regards to the shower block, you are one of our last guests of the season, the pattern on shower curtain rubs off due to all the cleaning over the season and are replaced every year. All the taps are being replaced too, due to all the use they get, and we can only do this when we are closed. Many thanks, Mary.

If you like a perfect and quiet site then this is the perfect place for you. Plenty of space, lovely clean facilities and a welcoming owner. We tried the cooked breakfast and that was delicious too. Highly recommend.

Pretty farm location with great views. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Good shower/kitchen facilities. Only downside not within walking distance of amenities, you need to drive.

Beautiful location for walking, a bit remote but lovely views. Needs some better equipment in kitchen like a cooking stove or an extra microwave.

Thanks for your review. Glad you enjoyed our location, the Shropshire hills is perfect walking country. We are not that remote as we are only 1.5 miles from town. You had the whole campsite to yourselves so I don't why you would need more than one microwave. Regarding the cooking stove, we find campers always bring their own camping stoves. Mary

Camped here for 3 nights and it was fabulous - feeling fully recharged after 3 nights under the beautiful stars with the amazing facilities provided at Woodbatch Farm. Thank you to Mary and her friendly family for making it such a wonderful stay - we particularly loved the breakfast (freshest eggs ever!), fire pits and picnic benches. The facilities were so clean and the fridge and kettle were so handy for our hot water bottles! Can't wait to come back.

I was on an art holiday painting outside and given the thunderstorms and heavy rain, it was lovely to be able to just boil a kettle, use the toaster and microwave to be able to have something hot.

Great location and the campsite owners are amazing! Bench and fire bin included with your stay really adds to the hospitality. The views and location are top notch for walkers. Only downside is that the price for one night is a little steep, everything else was perfect though.

We also provide a kitchen with lots of free appliances, fridge & freezers, kettle & toaster & microwave to make your stay more comfortable. Showers are also included free with loads of hot water. The views over farmland from Woodbatch Camping field are beautiful. The service block was spotlessly clean and very conveniently laid out. Everything you need is there - kettle, toaster, fridges and freezers, toilets and showers. It's good to be able to buy eggs from the farm, and a take-away breakfast to order if you want that too. The access is narrow and winds round many corners, but the only car I ever met on it was the Austins' own on the school run! This makes it a very private and quiet place where you can camp well away from others, without hearing other peoples' noise, dogs, music, etc!! For me, this is a great advantage.

We booked this site by chance and what a find it was! Beautiful, immaculately kept fields on a working farm, with fire pits and picnic benches to choose from. The toilet and kitchen facilities were great and spotlessly clean. We loved every second and will definitely return.

Beautiful campsite with peaceful surroundings on a working farm.. what's not to love? Great on the doorstep walks, out all day then back to camp. Free firepit to keep us warm as we sipped our gin and tonics under the stars. We ordered a delicious farmhouse breakfast, a bit of luxury while camping.. we'll definitely recommend this site!
