Tucked away in the countryside a very quiet campsite. We arrived at 3pm as instructed by the site. Found our pitch and the toilets/showers/water point etc and then walked around the grounds looking for the proprietors. It would have been nice to have had someone to talk to on arrival, there was a chalk board that told us our pitch number but beyond that the place was deserted. I tried to call the mobile number but could only leave a message and got no reply. In the meantime a couple of other campers arrived and like us found their pitches and erected their tents and tried the contact numbers....we all agreed it was a bit strange. And because the site is quite remote, it was a good thing we had ordered pizzas, although we began to wonder where these were going to come from as there was no one around. Thankfully at about 6:15 someone did arrive with Pizzas in hand and apologised for delay. Apart from that, the facilities were clean and in a good state of repair and it was a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately on the day of your arrival we had an important appointment which could not be rescheduled, which meant that I could not greet you upon your arrival, nor could I accept your phone call. As you stated, your pitch number was displayed on our board along with the other arrivals that day. We have used this same system numerous times over the years with no previous issues or complaints. You were greeted when your pizzas were delivered, and were offered an apology for not being there to meet you upon your arrival, which you accepted. We have an excellent local pub a 5 minute drive away which serves food, and Wem is a 10 minute drive away, so we cannot be classed as remote. You are able to research an area before you book by searching online. Our toilet and shower facilities are excellent, and are cleaned regularly, and would rival offerings from most hotels.

Rose, the owner, was very thoughtful and helpful and makes delicious pizzas, you can order. The shower block was immaculately cleaned and presented. We enjoyed our stay.

Second visit and it was just as good as the last. Fantastic situation for visiting lots of wonderful place. Facilities are great, I love having the bathroom situation of a toilet sink and shower in one room, feels like home from home.

The owners were out to greet us before we switched the engine off on arrival. A quick tour of the showers and facilities was very impressive. They have thought through in fine detail the needs of campers. It shows in their facilities which are top class.

This is a lovely, small campsite in a great location for walks with the dog. We were welcomed by Rose and shown the facilities, these are spotless and very luxurious for a campsite. We didn't order a pizza, but still managed to purchase one on the night, well worth it! We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful little site, we only stayed for the one night unfortunately. The facilities are fantastic, very clean and modern.

Spent a night here on a hot weekend - just a small single tent with no electrics. Found a nice spot for us away from the campervans/caravans. Very clean toilets and showers. The area is not a tourist honeypot and the site is located down some narrow lanes - but that is why we came - for quiet cycling roads and canal paths. I'd recommend the area for anyone aiming to grow their kids' confidence in bike riding instead of the overcrowded, hilly and a road-dominated Snowdonia, Lake District and Peak District anytime.

We spent 2 nights here and had a lovely stay. The toilet block was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Would certainly go again and 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, chill-out site.
