Clear filters Fabulous, family friendly campsite
May 2023 Lovely family friendly campsite in a beautiful rural setting.
The owners were super friendly and helpful. We love to have a fire and the firepits and wood supplied were very good quality. The children loved the playground, huge central grass area and hidden fairy garden. Great sized pitches and clean facilities. No shop, but lots of supermarkets a short drive away.
It was fascinating to watch the swallows nesting in the roof of the washing up area.

Absolute hidden gem- amazing
May 2023 I cannot recommend this campsite enough, Alan and Beverley are excellent hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.
The campsite is set on the most beautiful grounds, with tents all around the edge of the fields. The pitches are large and there are goal nets in the centre and also space to play for the children games. The play park is perfectly situated and has a variety of equipment that my kids loved - age 6 and age 14.
They offer bike hire, which we did again -was super easy and the bikes are in great condition and the helmets too. The surrounding area is very quiet, so excellent for little riders.
The facilities were super clean and everything you need, washing up stations with even supplied washing liquid and sponges! There is also a communal fridge and freezer, which makes life so much easier, especially in hot weather.
We will 100% be returning and would recommend this site to anyone.

Perfect family camping where everyone can relax
May 2023 We've been here several times now because this site is basically absolutely brilliant. Clean and well kept, with huge marked flat pitches all around the field edge (so you know you'll fit and there's no rush to 'bagsi' a decent space if you're arriving later).
It's safe for the kids of all ages to play ball games in the middle of the field (but still in sight - from a distance!). The fridges/freezer access is great, they sell ice lollies and you can have a camp fire pit. And the customer service is fab.
Camping the way it should be!

Lovely family friendly site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Lovely site with very welcoming hosts! They were so helpful even before we arrived and that continued during the stay.
Great for families. The fridge freezers were so useful and the facilities were very good.
We will definitely be back! Most people we talked to were returning campers which is always a good sign!

Highly recommend
May 2023 Greenacres is a lovely site. It's a great location for visiting Glastonbury, Street, Wells and surrounding area.
The owners are really welcoming, and have lots of information about the local attractions. The pitches are big and well maintained. Prices are really good, including for solo campers. Friendly atmosphere on site, with a range of games/bikes to hire. Lovely spot for country walks, and lots of wildlife to see. We especially enjoyed watching the swallows that nest on the campsite. Fantastic having access to a fridge. Bathroom facilities are simple, but clean and loads of hot water.
Looking forward to being a regular visitor to this site, as really good distance from Bristol, for a weekend getaway.

Outstanding campsite
May 2023 Our favourite type of campsite is one where the tents are all around the edge and there is plenty of space for the kids to play in the middle. This is exactly what you get at Greenacres, and the size of the field is huge. Our son, aged 10, played from the minute we got there and had a wonderful time.
The campsite is a couple of miles outside Wells and is so peaceful with no main roads nearby. In the evening, we hired a fire pit and enjoyed a really great fire with marshmallows which you can buy on site. The fire pits are the best!
The owners are lovely and are really helpful. This is our second visit to the site. We have relatives in Wells and we spent a full week there last summer. It was ideal to have a base where my son could have some space to run around and play instead of being cooped up in a small bungalow! We plan to be back again this summer.
If you haven’t visited Wells, it is lovely. Beautiful cathedral, Bishops Palace gardens, great play park for the kids, excellent market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Close to Wookey Hole caves, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, Cheddar Gorge as well as lots of nice walks. Good shopping in Street (Clark’s shopping village) which my teenage daughter loves.

Fantastic, small child friendly campsite
May 2023 Lovely, small family-friendly campsite in beautiful surroundings close to Glastonbury.
Pitches are spacious, we have a large 6-man tent with extension (4mx10m) and there was plenty of space on the pitch plus our car. Pitches are sheltered and offer a good view of the campsite facilities and play area, so our children could run free and play. Our children just enjoyed playing games in the open area. The showers are clean and hot. The fridge and freezer on the site made camping so much easier - able to plan meals and store food. There is so much to do around the campsite within 5 minutes - we did the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Glastonbury Tor, Bath, beaches and Wells.
Would absolutely recommend this site.

Awesome stay as always
May 2023 Highly recommend this awesome campsite. So much space, so clean, so friendly and so much fun had by all. Kids can just be kids in a large safe grassy area in middle.
So much locally to do, with great discounts from owners too. Definitely a place to book when you get a chance, you will not regret it.

3rd time visiting
May 2023 Absolutely fantastic as usual, Bev and Alan are great hosts, knowledgeable and happy to help.
Facilities are great, fit in with the site and are clean and simple. We love the site, as it's very child friendly. I'm reviewing reluctantly as I want to make sure we can always get a pitch, but Bev and Alan deserve always to be full!

May 2023 Greenacres hosted us for our Bronze DofE Award. It was such a wonderful campsite, and Beverley and Alan were so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay with them. The site is beautiful, so quiet and safe with lovely facilities. It is perfect for any group or family. We will most definitely be visiting again!

Beautiful and quiet family campsite, in an idyllic location
May 2023 Large level pitches, the car next to the tent, clean toilets and showers. The owners couldn't be more helpful. Bikes and fire pits were available for hire. Lovely to wake up with views of Glastonbury Tor.
A great area for walking and cycling. Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury and Wells close by. And of course Pilton, home of the Glastonbury festival within walking distance!
A well-run site suitable for all ages, we would thoroughly recommend it.
