Glamping West Midlands is peacefully nestled in the beautiful countryside boarding Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Shropshire. This small and quiet glamping site is home to just two traditional Mongolian yurts. Soak up the surroundings from the onsite hot tub or meet the animals including llamas, horses, sheep and more. A great location for countryside walks and horse riding!

Yurt - YurtsDec 2023

Staying in a yurt was a unique and lovely experience and we would happily do it again. Chris welcomed us on site and was very kind and welcoming throughout our stay. The yurt was clean, spacious and had everything we needed inside. A log burner, a proper bed, kettle, lots of blankets, plates, table, etc. The wood-fired hot tub was so nice to celebrate the new year in. Waking up and seeing llamas, donkeys and emus was very relaxing. Chris also has six dogs who we just wanted to take home because they were all so friendly and cute! The campsite was only a short drive away from pubs/supermarkets, and we went on a really nice walk from the campsite. The campsite does feel like it's in the middle of nowhere, but that's also what's so nice about it. Even when it was raining, we took some board games to play inside the yurt and it was nice to relax and be away from technology. We went as 2 pairs of couples and would happily return. Thank you Chris for such a lovely stay :)

Nice weekend away, good value

Yurt - YurtsAug 2023

Chris was so kind and helpful, we had everything we needed - bedsheets, towels, hot shower with all toiletries in it, amazing hot tub and a wc just a few steps away from the yurt. We all loved it, kids and adults alike. Watching animals as we were having our breakfast on the deck was great too. We will definitely be back!

Yurt - YurtsAug 2023

This is a hidden gem for sure, the authentic Mongolian yurts are super cosy and inside. The host has thought of everything that you need for your stay, including a gas stove with a spare refill if needed, and a welcome pack of teas coffees etc. The highlight is the wood-fired hot tub. We went when the Perseids meteor shower was on, sitting back in the hot tub watching shooting stars with a glass of wine was just epic. On site, there are an array of animals which our toddler loved. We can't wait till we come back., The shower block and the toilets are extremely clean considering they are outside. Chris (the host), has put so much love and care into this place and it truly does show how much she loves it, which passes down to her guests. She is very welcoming and warm, she told us everything we needed to know including where the best chippy is near by. The surrounding area is so beautiful and quiet, great for some time away from the hustle and bustles of everyday life. It's very well situated from not being more than 40 mins from Birmingham or Stafford each way. Can't stress enough just how beautiful this place is.

A wonderful weekend!

Yurt - YurtsJul 2023

I had a really lovely birthday weekend here, despite the soggy British summer weather! The yurt had everything we needed to enjoy BBQs and campfires, and a lovely hot tub. Chris greeted us warmly and gave us a full tour of the site, including the many cute animals in surrounding pens and fields (llamas and donkeys a personal fave). Chris also made helpful recommendations of local places to visit. There are hot showers, a fridge to keep food in, a generous supply of firewood/firefighters, comfy beds and clean linen provided. We had a great time and thought the place offered excellent value - I'd recommend to anyone. Thanks so much!

Yurt - YurtsMay 2023

We spent the bank holiday weekend with Chris and her wonderful array of rescue animals. The location was wonderful, the site was great and our Yurt was equipped with everything we needed. The lovely sunny weather helped as well! Chris was a great host and gave her time explaining the site and all her animals and even included our children in feeding the animals. We plan to return to stay again!

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's HutJul 2022

This glamping site is quite literally in the middle of nowhere (there was no public transport that could take us there) but it is exactly what we wanted and needed! The place was beautiful, a sort of sanctuary for animals (there were dogs, llamas, pigs, turkeys, horses, sheep, etc. and we were able to pet almost all of them - definite bonus!) Chris, the host, is a lovely woman, super friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome as soon as we stepped onto her property. She was so kind to give us sunscreen as we had forgotten ours. She also offered to drive us to a nearby pub (but we ended up declining the offer as we wanted to spend time immersed in nature rather than going to a pub). The shepherd's hut was super cute and cosy. A camping cooking stove, kitchenware, plates/cutlery and cups were provided, along with a kettle and complimentary coffee/tea, which was nice. A bbq was also available along with firewood for the fire pit. I found the bed a little too small for two people, but other than that the hut was really practical to use. I loved the fact that it was a bit hidden from the rest of the land and the other 2 yurts. This made us feel like we had more privacy, which was exactly what we wanted. The toilets are just a few steps away from the hut, and although they are communal, there is another facility that can be used (where the fridges and showers are) so this made it feel less crowded. We only had private use of the hot tub on the second day. I am not sure if this was due to the other hot tub being under reparations, or if it would have been the same even if both tubs were functional. I would have hoped to be able to use it for the entire stay, but we still made the most of it on the second day, so I can't complain too much (but for the price I would've hoped to be able to use it more). Overall we were really happy with our stay. I would definitely recommend this for a weekend out, away from the stress of the city.
