Just four miles from Bury St Edmunds, this spot was once an old village pub but has been transformed into a well-equipped bike shop, charming cafe and chic glampsite. Close to Suffolk villages Long Melford and Lavenham and surrounded by fantastic walks and cycle routes, it's the perfect place to have a peaceful, spacious break in the countryside. Each of the six heated Wigwam pods includes en-suite facilities with a WC, shower, kitchen area and space to sleep four on a bed and sofa bed. Every pod has a fully kitted out kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, two hotplates and a sink. There's also a TV for when you feel like putting your feet up, and outside you'll find your private decking with a fire pit. Several Wigwams are dog friendly, but there are also pet-free options too. One pod is fully accessible for guests with disabilities and sleeps five in great comfort.

Facilities within the Wigwams are en-suite and self contained. The site has a shop selling essentials and tasty café, open every day and serving breakfasts, elevenses, lunches and afternoon tea. The cafe also sells cakes, coffee, drinks and treats throughout the day. Bikes can be hired on site including tandem, electric assisted options and kids bikes.
The surrounding villages offer country pubs and the closest is roughly one mile away. A village shop is two miles away, or a large supermarket can be found at Bury St Edmunds.

A lovely serene area to absorb some nature and spend some quality time with the family away from the hustle and bustle of life. Well equipped cabins, especially the accessible pod and everything you need for your stay. When we stayed, it was equipped with beds, bedding, crockery, cutlery, kettle, microwave, toaster, TV, picnic benches, allocated BBQ/firepit, outdoor table and chair. You also have access to shared play area, fields, small pond and the café and bike store. A really tranquil area. The pods are a little close to each other so not much privacy outside the pod.

Nice, quiet location with plenty of space for children and dogs to run around. Accommodation is small but everything you need for a short stay. Very clean and well maintained. Would recommend and stay again

Things to do on site and in the Bury St Edmunds area
A series of great walks can be found here, including strolls beside the River Lark - and all the top cycling country you'd expect!
Steeped in history, Lavenham village is only 12 miles away, and fans of horse racing will definitely have heard of Newmarket, which is also nearby.
Have a browse around Bury St Edmunds' great cafes and restaurants and once you're north of the town you'll also find a lot of great outdoorsy options - so why not try 4x4 offroading, clay pigeon shooting, segwaying or even some fun at Go Ape Thetford Forest.
Cambridge is only 30 miles away, perfect for a day trip with punting on the river or a look around the historic university buildings.
