Eco friendly campsite

Excellent campsite with great facilities. Will was a great host. Star party and pizza truck on Saturday night made our weekend very special!

Lovely location, friendly vibe

A beautiful, peaceful meadow surrounded by forests, run by lovely friendly folks. Our bell tent was just great, the beds comfy and the setting was delightful. My daughter (3) loved the fairy wood and all the buttercups and my son (8) really enjoyed exploring the woods and the rope swing. Will definitely be coming back.

Peaceful site

Great site with beautiful views. The facilities were plentiful and clean and there were lots of games to keep us all entertained. The yoga and treatments were a big draw for us, and we'd definitely recommend.

Blissful countryside

You're in the middle of nature. Nothing like a boring camping field, you're surrounded by trees, long grass, no roads or buildings in sight and you hardly see the toilets, showers, sinks and taps because all they're under the trees. Lots of space. We played table tennis, badminton, made a den in the woods, went exploring, star gazed, sat around the fire every night. The rope swing is insane! I had the best time. My kids, 5 and 7 didn't want to leave Earth Camp and wanted to "live there forever". Will and Rachel are lovely hosts and really helped us out.

Lovely site near Lewes

Lovely campsite with spacious pitches and a extremely nice host Will. Easy drive from London. Our 20 month old daughter enjoyed exploring the fairy woods. You can do on-site yoga and get a massage which is a bonus! Close to Lewes which is a peaceful town with great food options and Offham farm shop for meat supplies on the BBQ. You can drive up to your pitch to unload which makes it easy with a toddler! We'll be back again definitely in the future. Thanks guys 🙏

Great spot, great hosts

One night stay

Lovely site, rural, best compost toilets and shower I've used. I was greeted by owner, which was lovely and we were a little later than planned. Unfortunately, the weather was against us! The only negative is that the price a little expensive and the field was very sloped I managed to get a fairly flat-ish spot but only because we were only ones there, bar one other person.

Great stay in a wonderfully eco park

Perfect. Will be back with a group of friends as the fire pits looked fun! Perfect serenity for me as a solo traveller though. Great hosts too.

Brilliant getaway

Lovely site and staff. Lots of fun with fire pits and in the woods camping.

So tranquil

Such a tranquil camp site. My only downside was the price. I only say that because before I booked I thought it was £5 a night, but then I realised it was £15 a night.

Lovely stay

Earth Camp is a lovely campsite and Will really looks after you. There is plenty of space and trees all around. I had a lovely view from my tent. This was a really relaxing place to stay.

Nice & peaceful site

Nice, peaceful, basic site. Very friendly owners, fire pit provided, eco loos and basic washing/shower facilities. Lots of room, nice views, and a pleasant walk to the local village with pubs, etc.

Average

The site is incredibly steep hill which means most of it is unusable in a tent or a van. So in the end there was 3 of us in campervans basically on the same pitch. Not what we'd paid for. Toilets are compost loos which are great, lovely handmade units that would be a good eco alternative if people could ensure their children didn't leave them in absolute states and block them up. The site is much more suited to families with children, and ideally you should just book one of their bell tents, because there's no other flat ground for your campervan or tent to go. Would not go again.

Hi Luke, We're really sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay at Earth Camp. We are obviously aware of the hill in the centre of our campsite, which we do not allow people to camp on (and is a key feature of our site, allowing people to space out more, gives an excellent view of the countryside and allowing wildflowers to grow), but are very sorry you felt your pitch wasn't as flat as you liked, and that you didn't have the space you deserved. Unfortunately, the weekend you stayed you may recall that there were a large number of 10 person tents on site (that we were not expecting), as well as more campervans than expected (whereby people arrived in campers having not previously informed us). To avoid turning anyone away, we felt there would be enough space as we were well under person capacity, but the way everyone spread out meant that you were unfortunately (self-)positioned on a pitch that didn't suit you. I did however ask at the time if you were happy with your pitch and you said that you were (and I would have done my very best to find some more suitable space for you if you had mentioned that you weren't happy - we always do our absolute utmost to please our customers). Going forward we have implemented new booking capabilities to ensure we know tent sizes and whether people are bringing campervans, so that we don't get caught out on a lack of space again. Regarding our toilets, I am sorry you experienced poor cleanliness. We thoroughly clean our facilities twice a day, and my number is clearly displayed in the toilet to call me to clean them adhoc if someone has created a mess. I am always on site within 15 minutes to clean them if called, although we did have alternative portaloos available on site also. I received no calls that weekend to clean the loos, but am sorry you had to experience dirty facilities. In addition to this, I stay on site with my family most weekends, performing regular toilet spot checks (especially when groups or lots of children are staying) to ensure the site is always clean and quiet, but sadly could not stay that penultimate weekend of the season. Our bell tents are erected prior to each booking, and are moved around according to where people prefer to pitch, and if they are part of a group. We obviously aim to pitch these on the flattest pieces of land, though this does leave plenty of other flat spots for people to pitch tents/campervans usually. We want our customers to have the best time at Earth Camp, and would like to offer you two nights camping on a weekend of your choice in 2022 for your party to stay for free (with free firewood also) so please get in touch if this interests you.

Really enjoyed it. Site was on a bit of a slope. Great for walking.

Awesome campsite

Absolutely wonderful stay. The camp manager was kind enough to open a spot in the woods for us. Really friendly and helpful service. Helped us carry all our stuff including when it was raining on pack down. Beautiful site in gorgeous location great and eco amenities. Couldn't recommend enough.
