VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Woodland)Jul 2025

We enjoyed our stay at this site in our VW campervan. The facilities were very clean and functional and we had a pretty, quite private, woodland site. The booking was quick and easy and the site is well placed for visiting local attractions such as Bodiam Castle. In fact, we took the steam train from Northiam Station next to the site to get to Bodiam. The site was quiet during our stay, just prior to the school holidays, so we didn't need to queue for showers, toilets or washing up facilities. Our only slight niggle was the constant, rather inane East Sussex radio in the toilet block. Could you find a more relaxing station? Many thanks. We would certainly use the site again.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Me and my partner wanted a weekend in Rye and we had such a wonderful stay. The site is 10 mins from Rye and also 10 mins from a big Tesco, so it has everything nearby. The site staff were friendly and the campers even friendlier. A beautiful spot for a lovely sunset and to watch a steam train go by, which was great fun.

Lovely spot. Not many walks near by for dogs but great for families who use the space to play on the green. Kitchen area clean and good set up.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Woodland)Jul 2025

We enjoyed our stay. The facilities were excellent and the site was quiet and organised. We might hesitate to book in the school holidays as there was only 3 showers and 1 was out of order.

Site's response

Hi ya. Thank you for your review, I'm sorry you only thought there was 3 showers, we actually have 5 here, there is one in each family room, the disabled and the 2 single showers. Apologies there was one that was out of order but we was waiting for a part to be delivered. Hope to see you again, Thanks

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

It is a nice site and the hosts were lovely. The pitches feel a little tight and we were behind a football net where the ball kept rolling into us, despite moving the goals twice. Not a big problem as it was a site suitable for families and children playing. The cost was more than average at £45.00 per night without EHU. We normally have a sea view and EHU for that price.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Woodland)Jun 2025

What a little gem, we booked for 3 nights actually did 4 and prob could have stayed longer. Nice and quiet in one of the woodland alcoves, with plenty of space for us to tether the dogs, lots of wildlife to watch and so peaceful. We will be back.

This was our first overnight stay in our camper, we loved every minute. Facilities were excellent and clean, we even got to see the steam train pass by.
