Bluecaps Farm Glamping is set on a family-run working farm in Cousely Wood, by Wadhurst. The site has around 400 acres, breeding a range of animals, making hay while the sun shines (literally) and running a successful llama trekking business. The glamping site is a quiet and secluded countryside experience, less than an hour from London, with the option of booking a walk with the adorable llamas. Watersports at Bewl Water and 15 mins from Go Ape.

Shepherd's Hut - Forget-me-not Shepherd's HutAug 2023

We had a wonderful break away staying in Forget Me Not shepherds hut. All staff gave an excellent balance of friendliness, helpfulness and leaving us to enjoy our experience. My daughter was safe to explore the beautiful setting and pat the horses, goats and llamas. We went on easy accessible, stunning walks each day. A local pub is only a short walk for a cheeky pint in the sun. Every need was catered for, including indoor and outdoor games. We did a llama walk, which was quirky and fun. I would thoroughly recommend staying. We all didn't want to leave as our stay was such a magical experience.

Shepherd's Hut - Forget-me-not Shepherd's HutMay 2023

We highly recommend this charming glamping site. It was really quiet as there are only four huts. The hut was very clean, cosy and well appointed. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely return. Our children loved the goats and llamas.

Site's response

Thank you so much Gillian for your lovely and kind response. We are very happy you had such a great time and that the goats and llamas played their part. We'll look forward to seeing you again some time in the future. Best wishes, Tina x

Shepherd's Hut - Poppy Shepherd's HutOct 2022

We decided to go away to relax and get off grid for few days, and we can't recommend the Bluecaps Farm enough. The host was always happy to help and the breakfast basket with all the products was a nice plus. We loved every second of our experience.

Peaceful and secluded. Back to nature. Wonderful shower block. Great fire in the hut. Fabulous comfortable bed. Just a wonderful haven to stay in. I was totally alone both nights. Very positive experience. I'd go again in a heartbeat. Friendly goats. Llamas hilarious.

Shepherd's Hut - Forget-me-not Shepherd's HutApr 2022

My husband, eight year-old son and I stayed here for a bank holiday treat. And what a treat it was! The site is easy to find and beautifully appointed. The owner, Tina, couldn't have been more helpful, especially as we arrived late after battling M25 traffic. The hut itself is beautiful and contains everything you could possibly need for your stay, including a file of information about the site, hut, local pubs and walks. It was a step up from our usual glamping places as it has mains electricity (this suited my husband, who is a glamping rookie!) and a heated toilet/ sink/shower trailer, which we had to ourselves for the duration of our stay. The beds were so comfortable and we had lots of extra blankets to see us through cooler nights. The huts are on a working farm and my son fell in love with the animals, especially the goats and two of the horses. Unfortunately we weren't able to book llama trekking but we did meet the llamas (they were hilarious) and my son refused to leave without saying goodbye to every animal in turn! The site is remote enough to feel 'away from it all' but is also easily accessible to nearby Scotney Castle (a definite must), Tunbridge Wells (brilliant for shopping and eating) and about a 45 minute drive to Hastings - a really lovely seaside town. Waking up to birdsong and the occasional sound of other animals at feeding time was just wonderful and we all relaxed and felt calm for the duration of the stay. I really don't want to recommend this place as I want there to be availability for us to return and bring our friend, but honestly the site was a real find and we absolutely loved our short stay. I only wish we could have stayed for longer as there is so much to see and do in the local area. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends/family with us. Highly recommended.

Oh Debbie - thank you so much for such a fantastic review :-). So happy you enjoyed yourselves and that your son loved our animals so much. We had a baby llama born yesterday morning and are expecting another plus 2 foals very shortly, so hopefully, when you come again, you will be able to see them. Thank you for the recommendation.
