Pengraig Campsite offers lovely sea views and a back to basics base near Anglesey's north western point. It's not all about fancy facilities here, but instead there's the seclusion, starry nights and peace of life on one of the isle's farms. Walkers will love the nearby coastal path.
Pengraig is a working farm with a remote feel, set around 40 minutes' walk from Church Bay beach or a 20 minute walk from shingle Ynys y Fydlyn beach. Pitches are set in a grassy field without electric, suiting both tents and tourers. Best of all, it's possible to spot the sea right from your pitch and to fire up a BBQ in front of that view in the evenings. On the other side, the campsite looks towards Mynydd Y Garn Hill and is a great place to try a spot of bird watching. Dogs welcome.
Open from 1 April to 31 October
Grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes without electric.

It's lovely to spend time by the coast, so don't miss a long walk along the Anglesey Coast Path exploring views worth putting on your boots for. Beach fans can scramble around the rocks at Ynys y Fydlyn beach or travel a spot further to a sandy beach at Church Bay.
The Swtan Heritage Museum at Church Bay is also a chance to step back in time and see how country life was back in 1910, backed up by a picnic in the museum's sheltered area.
In Amlwch, not much further afield, you can have a nosey at the Copper Kingdom Centre and then explore Wales' mining history at Parys Mountain.
