About Rhandirmwyn Camping and Caravanning Club Site

You can enjoy both wildlife and walking - and spot red kites - at the RSPB Dinas Nature Reserve, around 3.5 miles from site, while the Elan Valley is also home to some of Britain's rarest wildlife and plants. You can also see red kites, ravens and buzzards at Gigrin Farm Bird Reserve in the market town of Rhayader. Mountain bikers can enjoy the all-ability access trail in Cwmrhaeadr Forest, only 1.5 miles away from site, while the town of Llandovery, just over seven miles away, has a cobbled market square, a number of old inns, shops, banks and a supermarket. The town also contains the remains of Llandovery Castle, built in 1110, and a 16-foot high stainless steel statue of Welsh hero Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan. Non-members welcome.
