Relax in one of two handcrafted shepherd's huts at Thistledown Glamping. Tucked away in a peaceful corner of West Wales, sit back and listen to the sounds of nature around you. Both huts have wood fired hot tubs.
Thistledown Glamping is the result of a dream and a desire to create something quirky and unique in this beautiful part of Wales. Hard work and focus on vision has helped to create a peaceful, natural site offering a little bit of luxury within natural surroundings. Here you will find an abundance of wild flowers that attract the most wonderful bugs and insects, a pond that is home to beautiful dragonflies and the thistles that gave the site its name. Designed and handcrafted using up-cycled materials wherever possible, these shepherd's huts are where quirky meets luxurious. The Wren shepherd's hut is ideal for a romantic break for two. Self catering accommodation that sleeps up to two adults in a handcrafted raised double bed, the hut also boasts a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub! The larger hut, Finch, caters for both couples and families - sleeping up to two adults and two children - yet still manages to leave you plenty of space. Finch also has a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub (suitable for guests over the age of 12). Each hut has their own private bathroom as well as an outside area with fire pit and outdoor seating. Two well behaved dogs welcome.

With dog friendly beaches and the Ceredigion Coast Path nearby the site provides a lovely base to explore the area.
A short 5-10 minute drive and you will get a glimpse of the sea. In 10 minutes you can find yourself on the beautiful coast road which offers spectacular sea views as you travel along it. Along this road there are many beaches to explore. Some favourites include Cwmtydu for the seal pups, Aberporth for a family day on the beach and Mwnt just because it is beautiful.
Just 20 minutes from the site will have you in the lovely seaside harbour town of New Quay, with its bars, restaurants, shops and cafes, and not forgetting dolphin spotting boat trips leaving from the harbour wall - dog friendly of course!
Whether you fancy a lazy day on the beach watching the world go by or to hire kayaks to explore from the sea, Ceredigion has it all. You can also find some great attractions such as the Ceredigion Coastal Farm Park along with the National Botanical Gardens. Also within driving distance is Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, and several steam railways.
And if you're feeling peckish, head to Llangranog and Tresaith for pubs that serve delicious food with quite a view!
