About the site

Nestled in the charming village of Penrhiwllan, this site is ideal for CAMC couples or groups (16+) looking to escape the everyday buzz and unwind in the Welsh countryside. Llandysul is just a ten minute drive away, too. Park up on one of the five spacious electric grass pitches (10m x 12m), each with a 16 amp hook up and plenty of room for awnings, gazebos, and pup tents. The site welcomes roof tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. For those seeking a little extra comfort, the 4m Mongolian yurt sits tucked away in its own wildflower meadow. Inside, there is a double bed with bedding provided, a TV, and USB charging points. A separate fully equipped kitchenette includes a fridge and gas hob, and there are also private facilities. Please bring your own towels. This is a great base for exploring West Wales. The historic town of Cardigan can be reached within a 25 minute drive, home to Cardigan Castle. The seaside town of New Quay (25 minutes) is also nearby, where you can enjoy dolphin spotting trips. If relaxing closer to home is more your style, evenings can be spent watching local wildlife, including red kites and buzzards, before strolling five minutes to the award-winning The Daffodil Inn. The pub is dog friendly too. Dogs are welcome on the grass pitches, and a one-and-a-half field is available for them to explore. BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted.

Guests have access to a small facilities block with a toilet, a hot shower, and a sink. There are also waste and grey water disposal points, as well as a recycling area. The site offers caravan and motorhome storage.

The Mongolian Yurt has its own bathroom, including a hot shower, flushing cassette toilet, and a sink. The fully equipped kitchenette has a small fridge, a gas hob, and a sink.

Those bringing four-legged friends can make the most of the site's dog walking field.

For picking up essentials, Penrhiwllan Stores is just a five minute walk away. The Daffodil Inn is also a five minute walk away, serving food and drink.

Site rules and policies

Check-in is from 1pm until 7pm for touring. Check out is before 12pm.

Check-in for the glamping unit is from 3pm. Check out is before 12pm.

Guests under the age of 16 years old are not allowed onsite.

Dogs are allowed on the touring pitches. They must be kept on a lead and supervised at all times. The glamping unit is pet-free.

BBQs are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground. Open fires are prohibited.

Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am. Loud music is not allowed.

Tents are not accepted at this site.

Head to Llangrannog Beach (25 minutes), Aberporth Beach (25 minutes), or Aberaeron Beach (30 minutes) for scenic coastal walks, harbour-side fish and chips, and plenty of dog friendly spaces for sandy paws!

For those keen to step back in time, Newcastle Emlyn Castle is just a ten minute drive away, while the National Wool Museum offers insight into Wales' rich textile heritage. Alternatively, enjoy a journey through the countryside aboard the Gwili Steam Railway, 30 minutes away.

Nature lovers can unwind in the peaceful surroundings of Ffynone Waterfall (25 minutes) or explore the woodland trails at the Welsh Wildlife Centre (30 minutes), both ideal for slower days outdoors.
