Wow with a capital W!

Wow! The view alone, wow. What a place! We stayed here 2 adults and 3 kids and it was the best stay we have had so far! This site has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The showers and toilets were better than what we have seen in hotels! The family rooms were a huge hit for us, super impressed. We saw them being cleaned every day! Charging phones, kettle, washing machine and dryer, freezers, indoor and outdoor cleaning areas, dog cleaning areas, you name it, they had it! We were greeted by who I believe were the owners. Explained exactly where to go, what to do. Handed a very detailed map with directions to the beach, shops, numbers we may need during our stay. When we got to the pitch we chose, we had trouble getting up the grass covered slight hill. Ended up getting stuck, everyone came out and helped push the car back to the stone path, went back to reception and the gentleman (sorry didn't catch your name) didn't hesitate to come and help show me how to park outside our pitch! Thankyou!! We chose a pitch next to trees and stones which the kids absolutely loved! There was a spar about 20 min walk for us with littles, but probably about 10 mins if walking at normal pace. Beach, again probably about 10 min walk. There is plenty of leaflets for takeaways, restaurants, days out etc. We ordered a takeaway, reception helped guide them to where we were staying so even got it delivered to our tent which was lovely! (We were waiting for the call to walk down) The only 'issues' we had, which is not the parks fault at all, is that the toilets/showers were quite far away from us, so definitely need something for inside the tent if you have little people who can't hold it for the 5 min walk. How could this site improve? Honestly I don't see much if any improvement at all. It's a stunning place in a stunning area. Perhaps some sort of outdoor play area for the kids - there was a perfect area for one. But the pitch we chose with the rocks was enough play for ours 3, even the baby was trying to climb! Brilliant. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. Will 100% be back soon and already told family and friends who will be booking too! Can't wait to be back!

Beautiful, clean, quiet site. Owners were amazing. Absolutely loved it. Views were spectacular.

Lovely first camping stay

Excellent site, would highly recommend and would love to go back. Great area for washing the dogs. Facilities kept clean and tidy. No issues.

Bank holiday stay

Found this campsite by chance, the location is superb! There are a couple of pubs within walking distance and a decent takeaway and supermarket in the village. The campsite itself is spotless with well cut grass and the toilets and showers are immaculate.

Perfect

First time in a motorhome, a short but sweet two night stay!! Brilliant first experience in a wonderful site with a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere provided by the hosts. Well kept with super clean facilities!!!

Really enjoyed our short stay here. Very well kept site. Facilities good. Very clean. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. Super location with the mountains one side and the coast the other. Ideal for exploring North Wales!

lovley clean site. Great views lots of good extras. fridge freezers to use , hot water, electricity points, kettle, hairdryer. Good dog facilities plus lots more

Excellent Campsite

First time at this campsite and exceeded our expectations. Beautifully maintained grounds, large pitches, fantastic views, excellent facilities, the toilet and shower block were up there with National Trust if not better. Dog friendly and a field where they can go off lead. Very friendly and helpful. And a visiting Ice Cream Van too! Excellent 👌

Great views, well maintained site

Great views of sea and mountains. This is a very clean and well maintained site. The toilet block is a bit basic, but very clean, and the showers are excellent. The site and location is very steep and could be problem if you have limited mobility. Loved our stay, but had to book 3 nights and actually only wanted 2, might have been the short notice or because it was a weekend booking.

Beautiful site

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely, peaceful site. The view from our pitch was beautiful looking over the sea and at the hills. The toilets were very clean as were the other facilities. It was very handy for nearby shops to stock up and to explore the local towns and villages. I would 100% recommend staying here and would love to come back for another visit.

Cyrraedd yn y glaw. Roedd Gwenan a Meirion yno i helpu ac yn glên ac yn siarad Cymraeg. Lle hyfryd iawn a golygfa anhygoel o'r môr. Popeth ar gael ac yn lân iawn. Arrived in the rain. Gwenan and Meirion were there to help us set up with mesh on the ground to assist the caravan from slipping and churning the grass. All toilets were lovely and super clean, although cold at this time of year hence 4* ;) View of the sunset from our caravan was incredible. Location ideal. Easy access. One of the best coastal sites we've found and on our doorstep.

Fantastic and friendly

The site is very well maintained and very clean. We will definitely be returning for the summer holidays. It's one of the best views from a campsite you will see 👌

Super friendly team, supportive and welcoming!

Nice basic clean site with room for slight improvement

The wet weather didn't help our visit. The hard standing was 10mm slate chipping which ended up everywhere and we were forever sweeping the caravan out. Accessibility facilities were shared with families in hubs, which isn't ideal as the pods are a feature of the site and everyone wants to use them. Lack of hand rails etc in disabled facilities was noticeable. The site was extremely clean, as were the facilities. There's a lack of things for children to do. But, the site seems to be a progressive project. The views at beautiful and the sunset is as good as anywhere in the world. Overall for us, not a bad site, just lacking facilities.

Swift basecamp

Excellent site with a great location and dog friendly. Clean toilets and showers with 2 separate family pods, also with showers and toilets - very unique 👌 The owners (or site managers) were very helpful and friendly. All in all, a lovely site and would definitely recommend.

Good location with good facilities

Good location, easy walk into Penmaenmawr with it's cafes, shops and amazing beach. Also the many mountain paths directly from the campsite. Easy access to buses and trains to local towns, Conwy, Llandudno etc which was great. The only disappointment was the gravel pitch with electric we were allocated. We felt that the pitch was little more than a gravel driveway with a mud patch alongside, not what we were expecting. Great views from the site however and we would return to enjoy more of the surrounding area.

Unfortunately, you didn't mention anything and we could have looked at alternative pitches. The weather has been very challenging and as the site will be closing for the season, we will be carrying out site maintained and reseeding pitches.
