About the site
Set on a working sheep and cattle farm, this small and quiet camping and glamping site offers an idyllic getaway in the heart of North Wales. Just five minutes from the Clwydian Range And Dee Valley Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is the perfect base for days of walking, hiking or cycling.
Tent campers are welcome across the site's three non electric 5m x 5m grass pitches. Each pitch allows up to five guests with plenty of space for games and setting up your table and chairs.
If glamping is more your style, the site also has four camping pods which can sleep up to five guests, Inside you will find a double bed, along with a single bed and a bench seat that converts into a small double. Foam mattresses are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding.
The pods also come equipped with an ensuite loo, kitchenette with a kitchen sink, fridge and kettle for your morning coffee. To keep you cosy even on those cooler nights, the pods are fully insulted with double glazing and an electric radiator.
Outside, you will also have a picnic bench for al fresco dining, along with a BBQ/fire pit for cooking up a delicious meal.
For those camping, fire pits and chimineas can also be hired from the site, perfect for an evening of toasting marshmallows.
Four legged friends are also welcome to join you on your stay, with up to two allowed per pitch or pod.
Exclusive 'Whole of Site' bookings are commonplace, whereby extended family or friends book the whole site (four pods) for a group gathering. The summerhouse on site is a great place to set-up the buffet or congregate if the weather isn't great outside.

A note from the site themselves...
As a farming family, we're accustomed to doing things because we're passionate about it, a 'way of life'. Since retiring from farming, Ray and Rose have turned their efforts to our 'micro site', where guests are known by name, not by number. Our guest reviews speak for themselves.
The pace of life is much slower at our place and we're sure you'll enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. As a tiny site, we can offer unique 'Whole Of Site' bookings where you book all four pods with friends or families and get exclusive use of the entire site

Camping Pod - Ensuite Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Feb 2025
We had a very enjoyable stay at our Clwydian pod.
It was very well equipped and furnished, warm and came with an en-suite toilet, kitchen sink, and kettle. I played chess with the kids in the lounge nearby ('village hall').
The showers next door were hot, clean and modern and the main kitchen area had all we needed. These made a big difference. Ray was a delight to meet and talk to, and very kind to me.
Many thanks for a great holiday.
Excellent experience, we hope to return soon!

Camping Pod - Ensuite Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Jul 2024
We just returned from our stay at Clwydian Glamping Pods and Campsite and were absolutely thrilled with the experience.
The trip was myself and my husband and our young son. We hadn't been to a campsite with the little one before and thought maybe the pods/cabins would be a nice stepping stone to "proper" camping and we were absolutely right. Between the toilet, sinks, fridge, kettle etc in the pods and the separate shower block with extra toilets etc, the site had everything we needed. Raymond was an excellent host (Rose was away on holiday!) and we lacked nothing. Everything was super clean. The beds were comfy. You can take sheets/duvet/pillow with you or just a sleeping bag. There were 4 plug outlets you can use for any devices you can't do without. We took a fan as it was hot weather throughout our stay and the extra breeze was welcome when we were putting our son to bed while it was still daylight, but the pods have 3 windows that open (a 4th in the bathroom) so I am sure most people can manage without fans and stuff like that, it cools down quickly at night time if you open the door for a bit.
I recommend to take marshmallows so you can toast them on the fire pit. There's a small fee for use of the fire pit and a sack of logs. If you have a portable BBQ you might want to take one if grilled sausages & burgers are a big part of your plans, but Raymond did have a spare one that none of the others had borrowed yet, so we got lucky even though we were disorganised!
I really hope we can go back as we had a lovely holiday.
