Club Site at Llanystumdwy (pronounced clan-uh-stum-dwee) in North West Wales is an ideal base to explore the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia National Park, which are both great walking areas.
The village of Llanystumdwy, where you can enjoy a meal at The Feathers Pub, is a ten-minute walk from site, while local town Criccieth has a castle with a medieval, twin-towered gatehouse. The area is full of history and home to a number of attractions. A local museum is dedicated to politician David Lloyd George. Non-members welcome.

Further afield are the delightful Italianate village of Portmeirion, the seaport of Porthmadog and Caernarfon, dominated by the medieval fortress of King Edward I. GreenWood Forest Park, Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm and Animal Park and Afonwen Working Farm and Pony Trekking Centre are good places to visit with children, as are Pili Palas Nature World and Anglesey Sea Zoo, both on Anglesey.
