Absolutley fantastic stay!

Beautiful site , facilities and pub! Food is amazing. Highly recommend eating here. Made a curry yum! And the beef n cheese pie outstanding ( although plate cold). Cider nice. Lovely landlord and locals. Highly recommend for any ages, dogs, friends etc.

Dog friendly

Great location with access to fields for dog walking out the back gate. Plenty of longer walks accessible on foot from the campsite as well. The onsite pub serves excellent food with a good range of beers, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The only thing to improve would be the showers as they are not hot enough.

Gem of a site

Gem of a site. Spent a wonderful weekend there to catch up with friends. A very warm welcome on arrival. Paul showing us to our pitch. Everything is very well kept, neat and tidy, A play area for the children at the side of the pub. Also, dogs are more than welcome always a bonus. Then there's the food! What can I say, just wow! It's on another level. Highly recommend the Sunday lunch. Thank you to all the staff, for a wonderful atmosphere and service. Will be booking again to return in May for another cheeky break. See you then Rivers Edge 😃

Great little campsite

Great campsite next to the pub. As all campsites, they are getting so expensive. I was a solo traveller so this seemed a little costly for me. There was, however, no hot water in any of the sinks to wash, so I was not too pleased. Hopefully this was not the normal practice. Showers and pan wash were fine.

Apologies Graham for the lack of hot water in one of the sinks, we had found a faulty tap and isolated the fault, the other sink next door worked fine, we have since replaced the tap and all is well again but sorry you experienced this. Appreciate our prices have increased slightly, our running costs have increased hugely in comparison and I am sure you can appreciate, we have to react to try and recoup some costs through our business as with the rest of the world it seems. First time out in our newly acquired camper

First time out in our newly acquired campervan to try it out. Couldn't have asked for a better site to do it. Greeted on arrival by very welcoming and friendly staff who were also very helpful. Pitches are clean and tidy and easily accessed. Facilities were excellent and spotless. We went to the bar for a few drinks and had a superb dinner from a very good menu. I recommend the Madras. Will definitely return in the future. Highly recommend this site.

What a lovely place

What a lovely place, staff are so friendly and inviting. The food is excellent in the cool little pub, Sky Sports, so even got to watch the mighty Forest. Will definitely be coming back. Everything about this place is lovely 😎 Can't wait to come back.

Great stop over

Just a one night stay on route. Can not fault this site, check in easy, next to a popular pub, food great and good value. Brilliant, will definitely stay again if passing this way.

Nice camping area

We picked this campsite purely on location after a long day on the nearby biking trails. It suited us very well, it was close by and the food was very nice at the pub located on the site. The site was clean, quite well priced. We will make a return to the site on our next visit to the area.

Short notice stop, everything I needed for 1 night

Quiet, the pitch and site were spotless. Pub was a reason why I booked. Beer and food great. Will definitely stop again.

Excellent stop-over

Great level pitches. Very clean facility with showers, two sinks, and hand drier. Inside washing-up area. The pub looked great! Reduced menu in low season during the week, but still a great offering and all homemade. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The site had a security gate, which gave us peace of mind. There is a beer garden and children's play area. I'd highly recommend going to White Castle nearby. It's free, which is surprising, as there's a lot to see. We accessed it via the A4665 turning onto Ross Road in our 6.3m campervan.

Enjoyed our overnight stay at Rivers Edge. Small campsite with good range of pitches. Ground flat with good shelter from trees. Pub on site did great meals. Nice walks along the river and through village.

Well run campsite

We only stayed 1 night but we were made to feel welcome and the facilities were nice and clean. The pitch was well set out and we were able to park next to the tent.

Had a lovely stay. Gorgeous scenery. Friendly staff. Would stay again. Dog friendly. Pub on site lovely food and my husband said good pint Worthingtons.

Nice little campsite

Nice, pretty little campsite. Clean and well ordered with all the basic facilities you need. Would prefer the showers to be warmer and to stay on for longer. Other campers very friendly. Staff were polite rather than welcoming. Most were friendly and helpful. Didn't have much chance to sample the food - no breakfasts on offer, and they were between chefs when we visited. We were hoping to go walking/biking direct from the site but there wasn't really anywhere to go. But generally a nice trip with lovely views.

Thank you Emma for taking the time to review your stay with us, we are slightly disappointed that you felt that any of our team were polite rather than welcoming and we apologise for you feeling that way. As you rightly stated, we were in-between chefs but still offered food every evening, albeit a limited menu and we have since found a breakfast chef who starts with us shortly, so we will be able to offer a full range of meals throughout the day. Slightly confused about the walking and biking comment, we are less than 500 yards from the Offas Dyke path and we could easily have offered several treks for varying abilities right on our doorstep along with bike rides, a large number of our guests choose us because of these amazing trails and treks but we are sorry you didn't get to do any of them on this occasion.

Booked last minute, it was a great place to stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The site has all the facilities you could need. Clean, tidy pitch and the site was dog friendly.
