Whether you want to unwind completely or feel adventurous, this attractive glampsite on a working farm makes an ideal base. Forget the city, and try a rural retreat without giving up any of your creature comforts. Stay in one of six en-suite Wigwam pods or in one of the ensuite accessible lodges, which all have heating and the luxury of an ensuite shower room, kitchenettes, smart TV, free WiFi, fire pits and hot tubs too! The Wigwams have a kitchenette featuring a fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, hot plates, cutlery a table with a set of chairs and a TV for when you want to relax. Outside, there's a private decking area with a fire pit for each pod, and four of them even have the luxury of private hot tubs. Dog friendly options are available, and groups are welcome.
Wigwam Holidays Hafren is open all year round.
All glamping units have their own ensuite toilet and shower facilities. There is free WiFi on site.

After a busy period of work, this is just what the Dr ordered. Beautiful views, lovely people and time to relax. We visited as a family with our 8 year old daughter. The site is small and remote, but well looked after. Glamping huts are clean and have all essentials. We received a text when about 15 mins away to ask us what time we were arriving. Hut was ready and we got the information for how to heat our hot tub using the wood burner. The farmers that run the site are super friendly and look after you well. We used our hot tub a few times, there is an art to getting the right temperature. Wood available to buy on site. A fire pit is provided too so we did some BBQing and toasted marshmallows. There is a strip of land for children to play on, we took balls and bat, frisby, bubbles and a kite - there were perfect winds for kite flying. Nearby, we visited Hafren forest (spectacular views) and the towns of llandloes, Machynlleth. We went paddle boarding with Mavericks as as well as visiting Corris Craft Centre. All together, a fabulous holiday and have even brought home some lamb that the site sells. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay. The hosts were nice and friendly. The camping pod was nice, clean, comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water. We went as a family of 4 with our dog, the kids loved it! My only grumble is that we only had 2 plates, no corkscrew and the shop close by had very limited opening hours. Otherwise a fantastic stay.

Things to do on site and in the Llanbrynmair area
Looking for enticing places to cycle? This is one of the best spots for a ride and bikes can be hired on site.
And if you'd rather not be on two wheels, a fantastic guided walk can be arranged, taking in local beauty spots. It's not all about staying on dry land, though, Clywedog Lake is fantastic for kayaking, raft building, paddle boarding and sailing!
The lake is one of the top three trout fly fishing lakes in the UK, so a great place for fishing fans.
Thanks to very limited light pollution, this is one of the best areas in Wales to spot Jupiter and the Milky Way with the naked eye. You'll definitely want to do some stargazing in this Dark Sky area.
Snowdonia is only about twenty miles away where you'll enjoy a great variety of activities such as thrilling Zip World and plenty of walking and rafting opportunities.
Have a chortle at the Machynlleth Comedy weekend, taste the high life at local food festivals and make some time for the Royal Welsh Show. The quirkiest event of all, and one for your bucketlist is the World Bog Snorkelling Championships held at Llanwrtyd Wells every August!
