About Great Cotmarsh Farm

Switch off and unwind and this off-grid camping and glamping site. With car free pitches and just a limited amount of spaces, it is perfect for peace and quiet, with plenty of space for kids to roam free! There are a total of four non electric grass pitches, each mown for the spring and summer with paths to connect you to the facilities. Each pitch allows up to four guests, measuring around 8m x 8m. You will also be provided with your own fire pit, the perfect way to spend evenings back at camp. Two Sioux-style tipis also offer the opportunity to sleep under canvas and enjoy the pleasures of campfires and proper outdoor cooking. Sleeping up to six, each comes with a super kingsize bed, two single trundles and two futons. Rugs and blankets are provided, along with a camp stove, cooking equipment and a table and chairs. For al fresco dining, you will have a decked area with furniture. A Santa Marina grill BBQ is also included, the perfect way for getting the flame-grilled flavour. There is a field kitchen with a wood-fired oven where you can cook beautiful pizzas. The site also offers delicious sourdough pizza bases to make the process tasty and simple. There are cast iron pans available for slow roasting meat, vegetables, curries, lasagnas and even to bake bread. Pasture fed lamb and beef can be purchased for hearty evening meals. Within a 20 minute walk or quick cycling distance of the farm is the fantastic Broad Town Brewery and Hop Garden where you can enjoy locally brewed ales and street food vendors at the weekends. The site is also dog free. At least one member of each part must be a member of The Greener Camping Club. This is available to add on when you book, for just £12 a year.

Pitches are available from 3rd May, tipis from 24th May. The site closes on 1st October.

Facilities and amenities

Camping pitches share an off-grid washroom, whilst the two tipis share the other. Each includes a compost loo, an outdoor hot shower and natural products. There is also a field kitchen with a wood fired oven with cast iron pans to use too. Fresh meat from the farm may be available to purchase.

If you are staying in one of the tipis, bed linen is provided, however you do need to bring your own towels. It is suggested guests bring a couple of torches and a charging pack. There is also a charging station for devices.

There are multiple pubs and eateries within a five minute drive, including The Crown Inn at Broad Hinton. A Premier is also five minutes away for picking up any essentials.
