Postern Hill is a back to basics campsite offering 150 spacious grass pitches set in the idyllic Savernake Forest. Pitches are suitable for tents and touring units, with or without electric hook up. Family and dogs are welcome, with many walking and cycling trails from site. Malborough is just a 20 minute walk away with shopping and eateries, with Stonehenge within a 35 minute drive too. This campsite is a true back to nature experience!

Set in the heart of ancient Savernake Forest, this site's unique location offers a truly peaceful experience in the great outdoors. The surrounding area is fully protected to ensure future generations to come. This is an ideal site for exploring the Wiltshire area and enchanting forest. Tents and tourers are welcome on the site's grass pitches. Guests can pick between non electric grass pitches or electric grass pitches. All of the pitches allow units of up to 8m x 5m and six guests. Campers can choose their own pitch! This site also offers summer and winter seasonal pitches. During the summer months, there are onsite activities such as free arts and crafts for the kids, guided woodland walks, foraging and more. Guests can also enjoy easy access to a wide variety of forest walks and cycling trails, with exclusive discounts for campers on many of the local attractions. Sorry, no campfires allowed. Dogs are welcome free of charge, with a maximum of three per pitch. Please note, the campsite gates are locked between 10pm and 7:30am when no vehicle access is permitted in or out. The site does not accept arrivals after the gates are locked.

There are plenty of trails straight from site that weave through the forest, perfect for the keen walkers and cyclists! The site also hosts foraging workshops where you can identify, pick and taste a range of wild species! The site also has a Forest School, dream catcher making, willow weaving, leaf printing and woodland jewellery.
The site is just a 20 minute walk from the village of Malborough, stroll through the streets, try out the range of eateries available or browse the shops on offer!
Fyfield Down National Nature reserve (10 minutes) is great for further exploration of the area, hike to The Devil's Den to see some neolithic history!
