Excellent gravelled camper van pitches, especially for autumn weather, if a little close together. Good showers. The other facilities in the wash block were fine though the building was a little tired. You need a head torch if washing up after dark. Nice people to deal with.

A rural but beautiful area. We stayed in our Motorhome on a well planed site by the river and near to the lake. Toilets and showers clean and a lovely quaint pub in the grounds. The service was good and very friendly staff. We didn't eat there but the menus looked lovely. Very peaceful and a short walk led us to a huge stunning lake with beautiful swans. We plan to go back there soon.

It was a handy stopping point just off the A303. It had all we needed. It was clean and simple with good powerful showers. The pub served good food and nice beer. Enough space for the kids to run about too.

Good hardstanding but shower/toilet block in need of TLC. Food in the pub was great though!

Neat little site, just off the main route through. I booked just a grass pitch so parked up alongside track and not down towards the river. One loo and two showers, was fine in October. No loo paper though for 24 hours before I left. Lovely pub, excellent food and beer. Very friendly. Lovely place for kids to play as well as a play ground area, space to play ball.

We stayed for a couple of nights in August with our two Basset Hounds and found it to be very friendly and quiet. Pub on site with good ales and food. Toilets and showers very basic, but told they are due to be modernised over the winter months. Recommended for adults and groups and not so much for younger children, but very dog friendly. Recommend you stay even if just passing through on route south.

Absolutely loved my position and my experience at this camping location. Great value and very peaceful and very near my work location, so the drive to and from was rural and charming. It was great having the pub on the same location as meals and drinks were always enjoyable and available whenever I wanted. Food was certainly very pleasant and there were some great new meals on offer that I hadn't tried before. Coming and going was easy and only had one evening where I experienced rowdy neighbours, but they informed me prior that they were going to have a party and that they were going to be noisy until quite late. Wasn't an issue. Definitely would be happy to return to this site.
