Sleningford Watermill Caravan and Camping Park is an award-winning, 20 acre park on the banks of the River Ure, near the Nidderdale Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty. The site welcomes tents, tourers and RVs across spacious grass pitches with the option of electric. Providing a peaceful haven for guests and a refuge for wildlife, the site has been awarded the David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award with plenty of countryside walks nearby too!

Absolutely stunning location,fantastic weather, spacious pitch, superb shower facilities. Our 3 grandchildren loved canoeing on the river - albeit being pulled along on a rope by a very brave grandad. Very friendly owners. Excellent information room with dvds for adults and children, games and books. Nature at it's best. We will be back.

Brilliant campsite with gorgeous scenery. Plenty of clean facilities and warm showers! Super lovely staff. Great for fishing & paddle boarding.

This was my first visit to this site and I wasn't disappointed. A rare outing in my caravan by myself, so I was on a non electric pitch right beside the river that I picked after talking to the lady in reception, who said I could pitch anywhere in my designated area. This is a lovely well kept, clean and tidy site, with a lovely friendly lady on reception who was very helpful. My only reason for giving the facilities, that were very clean and with plenty of hot water in the showers, 4 stars, is because of the actual size of the shower cubicles. I'm slightly built and the cubicles are small. Additionally, there is only one hook on the door to hang clothes, towel etc. This site is easy to get to and not far from a couple of pubs, Masham and Ripon. Will definitely stay again.

Such a gorgeous site - we will definitely be returning! Beautiful views of the river and a really peaceful and quiet site. Plenty to do, and a lovely walk into the nearby village with two great pubs. The staff were extremely accommodating on site and nothing was too much trouble!

Great little site, very clean and tidy, easy to access and close to other attractions. Children had a great time playing near the river. We will be back.

Really balanced site, the land has wild areas for wildlife. Beautifully located on the River Ure. Owners were lovely. It was crazy busy being the summer hols and the toilet block was crowded, as you would expect! The only minor gripe I would have is just that the showers are push button, so you have no temperature regulation and they are very thin shower compartments, so you end up trying to wrestle with your towel and the shower curtain as you try and dry yourself! Tiny, tiny niggle for such a lovely site!

This was our first visit to this site and we will return. A family friendly site, dogs welcome too. Great facilities (shop, laundry, information centre, freezer, two toilet/shower blocks) and an amazing location on the river allowing paddling and kayak/paddle-boarding. Each pitch was spacious. Wonderful trees and wildlife on the site too. A great base to stay to explore the local area.

Just spent a weekend here with family and we have had an amazing time. So peaceful and relaxing and the owners are so lovely and helpful. Considering there was kids and dogs on the site they were no bother and never disturbed us even on a night. Can't wait to book again.

Great place to stay, great views. Nice to see Kingfishers and Herrons catching food in the morning. My only concern is that it needs internet.

Lovely 2 night stay, would highly recommend. The only thing I would say would be Wi-Fi, but that just personal preference just because I ended up using all my data. Apart from that, had a good time. The facilities were clean and done the job. The staff as well were very kind and helpful.

Perfect Yorkshire location giving loads of choice of nearby places to visit. We found the information room useful as we found a nearby nature reserve that we enjoyed an evening stroll in. Highly recommend the pub in nearby Leckington for a super meal. The tent pitch by the river was well tended and perfect for getting our dogs into the river for some exercise - they loved it. The campsite was quite busy, as you might expect at the start of the school holidays, but there was little noise and all was quiet by 10pm for a good night's sleep. All the toilets and showers were kept very clean. No rush on the final day to pack away as we didn't need to leave until 11.30am. We'll be back for another stay.

Our first time on this site, what an amazing site. We were pitched right next to the river, the noise of the river was so soothing. Beautiful wildlife to watch and the bird song in the morning is fantastic. Very peaceful and not too busy as it was still term time. David and Victoria were always about to help and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean facilities, powerful showers and plenty of hot water. All the basics in the little shop to help if you run out of anything. Lovely local pubs to eat at. We have booked to return in September and can't wait.

Fantastic last minute camping weekend. Wonderful setting and close to a lovely village with great pubs, park and cafe. We have 2 children and a dog and it was just a perfect site with so much green space and lovely walks right from where we were staying.

Great location. Everybody very friendly. First time ever at a campsite and very impressed. Would have liked more items in the onsite shop, other than that couldn't fault anything. Will definitely return.

Really nice site next to the river. Perfect for water loving families. We had two problems, our own fault. We booked the wrong night, but this was sorted by the friendly staff. On leaving, our car battery was flat. The staff helped by jumping our car off. I couldn't be more grateful. Would highly recommend this site.

Lovely big campsite in a beautiful setting. We stayed here on a lovely summers evening and it was great. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Set beside a lovely river in an old farmhouse yard that's full of charm. Great walks beside the river and into the countryside. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Despite it being a big campsite it is totally tranquil with big pitches. Would definitely recommend. It lacks Wi-Fi and decent phone coverage but in such a setting, it would be a shame to spend too much time on a phone anyway.

Booked last minute, rates were amazing. We turned up so later than expected but staff were so accommodating, friendly and so nice, didn't mind at all that we were a little late. The site itself is absolutely stunning, the lake and beach were an added bonus to this site. Facilities were absolutely spotless and all campers were so nice and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this site and stay again x

We took our new tent for its first outing at Slenningford Mill campsite. We were met with a smile and given a choice of pitches, as it was quiet. Given a leaflet showing rules and emergency numbers etc. This site is beautiful, set alongside the river Ure near Ripon. All facilities were very clean and serviceable. A lovely quiet place with plenty of room. and the grounds were tidy. We enjoyed our stay and will be re-visiting again.
