A rural and family run campsite in reach of York's historic attractions, Bridge Park is a great base for taking in elegant Harrogate, local gems like Knaresborough and Wetherby or the big sights in Leeds.
About Bridge Park
Get the best of both worlds with a pitch in the rural surroundings of North Yorkshire, and great transport links to take you on an urban day out. Pitches here are generously sized and include both hardstanding and grass, with 16-Amp electric hook-ups too. A crackling fire is allowed and you can hire the logs and fire pit on site. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
The site is normally open from late March until the end of October.
Site facilities include new toilet and shower block with free hot showers, toilets and baby changing facilities. There are also large pot washing facilities, fridge freezer and washer/dryer. Free WiFi.
The Blacksmith Arms in Biggin is close by and serves food. Trains from Church Fenton will have you in York in 13 minutes and it's 25 minutes by train to Leeds. Sherburn in Elmet has plenty of shops and supermarkets, plus there is a farm shop in Hillam.

Site rules and policies
Dogs allowed but must be kept on a lead. Fire pits/ barbecue allowed providing they do not burn the grass. 10.30 quiet time, no loud music at any time.
Things to do on site and in the York area
If the exercise you like best is flexing your credit card, you'll find plenty to entertain you at Junction 32 shopping centre or the designer outlet McCarther Glen.
And if it's all things outdoorsy that you love, make a beeline for Xscape where you can try your hand at rock climbing, snowboarding and much more - just a 20 minute drive away.
The kids will love meeting a few friendly alpacas and going for a trek - only 3 miles away!
Local pubs will offer you a pint and a tasty meal with a warm welcome or you can head into Leeds and York by train for a day packed with entertainment. Don't miss a stroll around The Shambles, the views from York Minster or delving into history at the Jorvik Viking Centre.
