Fantastic campsite with stunning views - ours was particularly wonderful from pitch 3 at the top of the site with uninterrupted views of the Peak District. Friendly helpful staff who worked hard to maintain a lovely site. Additional extras like fire pits to hire and on site car charging made the trip even easier. And arguably the best toilet / shower facilities we’ve ever had in a site. Really clean; modern; user-friendly and warm! Highly recommend booking here for access to the Peak District. 5*

What a lovely site! We stayed in the top field and the views are stunning. Nice pub at the end of the road and lots of walks and beautiful scenery around the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Showers and toilets are spotless at all times. My only thing is if you’re staying on the top field some pitches are sloped so be aware of this if you need to level up.

A lovely calm and quiet campsite even though it was the school holidays. Wardens were friendly and approachable and the facilities were fantastic. I will definitely be returning.

Great site and facilities in a nice location in a stunning setting. Quiet area with recommended scenic 6 mile (round trip) walk into Hartington from the site and walks from tea room close by. Lovely pub opposite that does nice food, albeit small and busy. We will be back. Both site and pub dog friendly.

Perfectly located campsite. Facilities are clean, warm and well maintained. The warden was so friendly and even leant us some levelling blocks! The manifold arms is perfectly located if you want to eat out. Make sure you book! Would definitely recommend this campsite.

Lovely site with really good facilities. I picked a riverside pitch and spent hours just sat listening to the sounds of the river and the birds singing. Pub opposite, and tea room and access to the manifold trail 200m away. Really couldn't fault anything and am already planning my next visit.
Site's response
Thanks for your great review Pam, you can't beat sitting by the river and listening to the birdsong and water passing you by. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Best regards, Wayne and the Team.

This is our third stay at this site and we have two future bookings. It's a lovely clean site with beautiful views and a pub that serves great food across the road. There is a dog walking field on site and there are beautiful walks straight from the site. I would thoroughly recommend.
Site's response
Thanks for your review Lucy, pleased to read you enjoy Bank House so much, you return time after time. We always try our very best to make every stay the best we possibly can. Kind regards, Wayne and the team.

Lovely pitch by the river, very well kept site. Toilets spotless and warm, with under cover pot wash. 2 big fridge and freezers, plus washing machine and tumble dryer. I had a call from Wynne to tell me my pitch was available an hour earlier than book in - never had that before, and he came to welcome me when I arrived. Can't fault the site in any way, so tidy, will be going again definitely. Thanks for a relaxing 2 days. Mick B.

Arriving on site to welcoming staff, using a fully serviced plot. We required the longer grey waste pipe to go under the caravan to the outlet, which we forgot. The site has a lovely shallow river close by and a large field for dog walkers. Very clean toilets and shower block with a well-stocked shop on site. A pub just outside the gates has an amazing full breakfast for a tenner. We will 100% be going again. Highly recommend.

We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The site was well laid out with lots of places for water and waste. The facilities were exceptionally clean and tidy. There was plenty of space for the children and the dog to run around. Would highly recommend the site and would definitely visit again.

Lovely campsite on the edge of Hartington, a lovely village with some beautiful walks and pubs. Other popular walking spots were all only 20 minutes away. The campsite was very clean and well maintained. Our first time camping was a pleasure thanks to this site. Highly recommend.

Lovely welcoming site. Parked up next to the stream which in summer, I'm sure is lovely. Weather not so good for my trip and I was underneath a tree, so sun wasn't really visible in the times I was parked up. Quiet policy between 10pm and 8am which I choose, though what sounded like racing cars zooming by at 3 am could not have been foreseen. Didn't use facilities much but they were modern and clean. Lovely wood fired pizza truck visits on a Saturday evening and they were very tasty. Great pub directly opposite campsite which is busy serving campers from the other nearby sites too from breakfast until evening meal.
Site's response
Many thanks Deborah for reviewing us. Pleased to read you enjoyed your stay overall. Unfortunately, we have no control over the loony boy racers who chose to cause all the noise at 3am, racing through the village. Kind regards, Wayne and the team.
A really well run site

Great views. Great amenities on a well run site by friendly owners. Only downside is that if you are pitched in the events field, you are by a well used road with tractors etc very early in the mornings. Also, bit of a hike to the amenities if you're on that field.
Site's response
Many thanks Michael for you review, pleased to see you had a great time. Sorry the road was noisy, it can get busy with the farmers when they are harvesting. Kind regards, Wayne & Team.

Very noisy next to road.

Hi Tom, sorry to read you were disturbed by the road noise. It can get a little busy during the peak season with the number of visitors to the area. Kind regards, Wayne and the team.

Bank House is one of my favourite campsites to date! The facilities were top tier; excellent and well stocked shops (cleaning supplies, sweet shop, toys, food, alcohol, wood), very clean and well kept toilets/showers/dish wash area. Lovely, well kept fields, and the aforementioned views were to die for. Also, the staff who were on duty (I forgot to get their names, unfortunately) were so nice and helpful! There is a very nice pub with a garden at the end of the campsite's driveway, and a pizza van on a Saturday night as well. Plus only being a stones throw away from some great little towns. The literal only downside was the hill that the site sits on gives you quite the walk to and from the top camping field and means you have to make sure you have orientated your bed and tables correctly. But other than that, absolutely no downsides! Can't wait to come back to be honest.

Hi Holly, many thanks for your lovely review, so pleased to read how you thoroughly enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Wayne and the team.

We stayed at this site for a long weekend with the aim of it being a base from where we could drive to enjoy walks and cycling. However, we didn't need to drive anywhere as there is a great trail nearby, which we walked twice (once taking in Ecton Hill with misty views). We cycled from site to Waterhouses on another day. We were pitched next to the river which ran through the site. Local facilities great, with lovely food at the Visitor Centre and the pub opposite. There was even a pizza trailer on site on the Saturday. Perfect. Thank you.
